In the beginning of the game Gahn is saved by a spirit of great power. Eventually, it is revealed that the apparition is that of the Crafter. During the scene, Gahn is attacked by multiple assailants and the Crafter intervenes, this is the song that plays.
After the Introduction, Gahn awakes in the Astral Plane, a mirrior image of Infernalus. This track is a remastered version of Gahn's Tomb, made to sound mysterious and forboding so that players realize it's still Gahn's Tomb, yet it's not the instance of the tomb that they have played yet.

During the first chapter Gahn is questioned to prove that he is who he says he is to one of his former elite bodyguards. During this time players have the opportunity to play as Gahn while he was Human and acquire the needed information. This is called 'Memorian Conscious', a Dark Gift bestowed to Gahn after he defeats a parasitic astral demon.
