I prepared that hak with my friend's help, who was choosing the music with me. That's the compilation of various, but symphonic music from NWVault recources too, but these files mostly were corrected by me, because of its scratches and other bugs like unexpected ends. Rest of songs are from games and movies, which are shown in "Important information". I made that hak for module of my dreams. With all treasures I could imagine. I think, music is one, of the most important parts of a great module, so I decided to find all best musics(in my and Kakkani opinions), tracks, sounds what I could implement. And, I think, I did. The music was divided into some theme parts like battle, oriental, mystic, etc. , what in my opinion is very usefull during ingame changing of music themes or when you are creating areas in Aurora, and comfortable during downloading, because full compilation has over 800mb. What can I say more...enjoy, and don't forget to notice below about any bugs you will find in the pack.

gilraen's memorial
council of elrond assemles
shire
very old friends
flaming red hair
three is company
the passing of the elves
- and moved into 18 .bmu files.
Music files and hak was bugfixed and turned into NWN2: MoTB version, which should work with SoZ too.
Because of questions about NWN2 a bit ealier, I have to explain, that before patch 1.23(in my knowledge) implementation of music was almost impossible. I haven't got any idea about that, because I didnt work under NWN2 ealier.
Well, it would be really hard to do now, because after format of hard disk, I lost all of that files with lists. Most of presented files got file info could be seen after convertig into mp3 format. Rest of them comes from nwvault. Greetings!
Would there be any chance of getting a full credits list, track by track? That would really help module authors to make informed decisions about which tracks to use. Thank you. :) _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset

I think, it does. The same file format. Maybe the problem is in hak file. You should prepare it in yourself way. Unfortunately, I have no idea how NWN2 works. I created it for NWN1 :)
I can't make it work. Where should i install the files? Inside the my documents directory or the main installation one. I have the expansion so i should put them inside the musicx1 directory or not?
The files have to remain inside their directory or I must spread them inside the main one?

Mmm Nice work.

Thanks Illuvyen. The description is now much more helpful, and hey - it might convince more people to download it (I almost didn't because I was dubious about downloading 800Mb of .EXE's without knowing what to expect :) ).
As promised earlier, i've changed my vote.
I've given an 8.75 as I think the music on the whole is very good with the individual "sections" being well defined.
However, there are a few tracks that are "repeats" (the 3 conan tracks are almost the same as they all begin with the theme). One of these seemed to be un-normalized, as it was distinctly quieter than the rest.
However, on the whole, a very good compilation of music from all over the place. Certainly useful, and the fact you've divided the download into "sections" means that you don't have to use all the music, you can just come and grab whatever section takes your fancy.
Ach, I forgot to say something about taking so offensive your posts, Clarkycat. It is simple. I am an enemy of illegal products, getting and sharing it, and it would be the last thing I did. So all opinions like these, make me mad ;)
I will correct it, but maybe after reporting next bugs. I'll add other music to replace that repeated. Btw, I changed Introduction and gave information about original sources the tracks came from.
Lines 491 and 511 are the same track. I'm thinking 491 should be mus_tavern_1. ;) Just thought I'd give you a heads up. Haven't gone through all the tracks so I won't vote yet until I do. Good music so far, though. I've only had to dump a few that are either from my music hak or that were already in CMP (mine is a compilation of both since I've also got other Baldur's Gates that are cut/end differently.)
Cheers,

Illuvyen, it seems perhaps you are taking this too much as an attack on yourself. Let me break down my arguments which at first were hotheaded (for good reasons!).
1. I appreciate the compilation, in as much as its a good compilation. There's loads of great music in there that i've so far found, and i'm sure people making modules at home will enjoy it.
2. The files are copyrighted. Honestly, I studied Music at university and primarily being a remixer i've researched a lot about the pitfalls of copyright law and artistic license.
However, that leads to my main point - loads of people on this site have posted copyrighted music, and many enjoy using it. I don't have an issue with that, or with your compilation, or with people who want to download it.
What I DID have an issue with, was that I got the impression from your description that this was a collection of copyright-free tracks (or those presented on NWVault). I only discovered exactly what they were once I downloaded them.
I don't want to download copyrighted music. If the description was clear on the origins of the music, i'd be able to choose whether or not I should download it.
Thus, I stand by my vote until the description is updated (only to the point where people will know "this music has come from other games and films").
I didn't mean for this to seem like a personal attack on you - I was just annoyed that it seemed I had been "duped" into downloading copyrighted files.
It doesn't matter, he is still alive, because it doesn't depend on this. Law is law, and in that, if I know, the law was changed from 15 years to 25. In US. In european countries it was other shape. So, now about publishing. If you publish anything, in newspaper, internet or in any place, where author does it, it means that he is sharing. I don't say im a creator of any melody of that pack. I wrote, I made hak which is only a compilation of music, which was got in legal way and I share it on the same conditions, like an author, withhout removing any informations from files. See, creator who made Music pack like CTP shared it too. BTW, as i know, you are remixing music. What abot oryginal melodies you are using? If you look in that way on that case, you'll see, I "remixed/remade most of songs in here. I made them shorter, I made them with other(envelope) endings, but I still don't say i created it. True, I didn't write credits. It is my mistake, but I wanted people to get that compilation as soon, as possible, because I was and I am proud of myself I could choose the best, the most climatic songs for NWN. I don't break any law doing that, because as you saw, I downloaded all publishing songs I needed to implement them into hak. I don't get any salary from it, like common pirate. I only use shared songs. Like most of us. So in my opinion, your vote here wasn't fair. Btw, if I find any spare time, I'll try to make a substitute of credits. But it happens maybe tomorrow, today I slept one hour ;)

A few on the "Battle" section are from Conan The Barbarian (1982 / dir. John Milius / music. Basil Poledouris).
These are still under copyright. They have quite a while to go before they are no longer under copyright (not sure where you got "25 years" from).
US Law states 70 years after the authors death (Basil Poledouris sadly passed away in 2006). EU Law is slightly different - it states 70 years after the death of the last given author of a film. This includes the director, writer of the screenplay etc. etc. John Milius is still alive though.

Firstly, I may have been a little hotheaded last time I posted.
However, you clearly were trying to mislead people with your description of the music pack. Simply saying "a lot of this music has been featured in various RPG games over the last 10 years" would really have been enough for me.
I would like to point out, simply because you can find a file to download somewhere it does not mean it is without copyright.
Personally, I don't mind people posting up compilations of music from other games. But please just put something in the description so that people downloading it can know.
Look at the Baldur's Gate Soundtrack on NWVault that you posted as a link. It clearly states in its title "Baldur's Gate Soundtrack". With your version, which had been renamed, I only knew because I had played the game, as there were no tags on the file.
If you change your description and put in something about the music being from different games (hey, maybe list a couple?) then i'll change my vote. If there's no reason not to mention it, then why avoid doing it?

For those wanting a slightly more informed choice before downloading this compilation, let me fill you in on what I discovered.
I only listened to the "Wonder" section - here's what I found:
Morrowind Title - Jeremy Soule (2002) (copyright either Bethesda Softworks or Jeremy Soule)
Baldur's Gate Title - Michael Hoenig (1998) (copyright either Interplay / Black Isle or Michael Hoenig)
And with slightly less information (but thanks to ID3 tags remaining intact when converting to .BMU)...
Unknown Track (From The Witcher) - A. Skorupa P.Błaszczak (2007)(copyright A. Skorupa P.Błaszczak or CDProdjekt / Atari)
Unknown Track (From World Of Warcraft) - Jason Hayes (2004) (Copyright either Jason Hayes or Blizzard)
Unknown Track (From Planescape Torment) - Mark Morgan (1999) (Copyright either Mark Morgan or Interplay / Black Isle)
I also thought I heard a few tracks from Jade Empire in there too, but I wasn't certain enough to name it.
If you're going to post illegally pirated copyrighted music on the vault, at least tell people downloading it that it is! Don't misinform people and say its a compilation from the Vault.
Rating 1.00, as I was not expecting to find a bundle of music files that shouldn't be here.

That music comes from i-net publishing. All of tracks are from NWVault community, or from authors, who shared their music on their sites. So, strange opinion. I am just wondered, if you download it :)
