Thanks to everyone who takes the time to download and listen to my little samples!! I'll try my best to experiment, and come up with a new voice or two! <3
The same file as before, but it's hopefully much clearer than it was.
"What is most important to you? ...Tell me, so that I may have the... Pleasure... of taking it away from you."
A thief gets caught, and tries to charm her way out of it. High, Female voice... Slightly seductive. "You wouldn't want poor little me to get in trouble, now would you?"
Uses the 'annoyed shopkeep' lines. Low-medium, female. "Oh, so now you decide to visit my shop? I've already told you, I close right before the guards begin their rounds."
The same file as before, but it's hopefully much clearer than it was. "It is not rain water that makes the grass grow, but blood. ...Yours and mine..." ...
Good for a female character who may or may not have a few screws loose.
For a 'Good' character, using a voice that I usually associate with my Bard, or maybe a Sorceress. Definately younger, probably with good persuasion skills.
Uses the 'annoyed shopkeep' lines.
High, female.
"Oh, so now you decide to visit my shop? I've already told you, I close right before the guards begin their rounds."
Uses the 'Not a Hero' lines. High, Female voice. "I don't think I'm a hero, no matter what the rest of Neverwinter says. But... I'm a Harborman, you know? Too stubborn to do anything but survive."
"Advice? You want advice? From ME? ...(sigh) Fine. Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste rather good with ketchup." Medium, Male voice.
Uses the 'Not a Hero' lines. Medium-Low, Male voice. "I don't think I'm a hero, no matter what the rest of Neverwinter says. But... I'm a Harborman, you know? Too stubborn to do anything but survive."
"Advice? You want advice? ...(sigh) Fine. Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste rather good with some... condiment? Called ketchup."
Better advice: ...Don't ask sarcastic warlocks for advice of any kind. :)

Past midnight over here... So - Happy Birthday! :D(this time for real - its 25th).
I listened to all of these, and the "annoyedshopkeep" files sound the best. Pretty genuine emotions too. Still, the shush-ing noise is still there, but I'm sure you'll find a way to remove it. Most of the rest still have the tight-throat, as if the actor/actress is trying too hard.
Only one way to get around the above problems - experiment, experiment, experiment. Keep on making more recordings - different mic positions, pop screen, after editing, etc.
Nothing can make up for expirience (not the one you gain by killing monsters, though :P). So keep up the good work! _________________________ =====================================

Thank you so very much! Original voice content is the type that has been most lacking over the years, and I hope not only that you do more, but that you inspire others to do their own as well!

Very nice! You have a pleasant voice. I especially liked the brief pauses midsentence in amolyn01 - nice characterisation.

AshleyMarie,
I loved them - fantabulous! Especially "amolyn02", it's my absolute favorite! All fun aside, you have a very expressive, delightful voice, and I would be thrilled to hear more submissions from you in the future!
