This intensive and brutal battle music fits well for beholders, one of the most terryfying beasts in Forgotten Realms. Usable for other terryfying beings as well.

ActorOfVeil - I agree that the sound quality is better than your previous version. My primary comment is that there is just so much going on in the low to mid range frequencies that I have a hard time following it at times. I would recommend experimenting with "thinning" it out in places, by simply introducing the different sounds sequentially or dropping certain parts out and later adding them back in, and save the big full sound for the climax of the piece rather than all the way through. Even though it is an ambush, and the desire for tension is understandable, I would like to hear a little more ebb and flow of some tension and release, if even only a little. Another way to achieve this might be to echo some of your ideas in the upper register occasionally throughout the piece so it would create kind of a call and answer affect and break up the tension a little. But these are just my options - keep up the good work and thanks for the submission. _________________________ Ninja School -- a short NWN training and adventure module for young players. Well, I am no expert but I have a couple of suggestions. I am not familiar with your piano but it sounds like the USB audio feature is the way to go from reading the specs: "It also has a USB Audio Recorder that lets you capture your entire performance - including style and song playback, as well as your singing - and easily bring it to your computer for CD burning or uploading to websites." I am just guessing but I imagine it works like my USB condensor mic - you just plug it in to your computer and it shows up as an audio device. I have used my USB mic with Audacity to record live and it turned out pretty well, although in mono.
Alternatively if you have a standard 1/4" output (I did not see it listed in the specs) you could get an adaptor to change it to a 1/8" and run it into your mic/line in jack on your computer - it would work the same as a mic but without the loss in quality. My laptop only has a mono line in but my old desktop has a sound card with a stereo in - in that case you record in stereo, again provided you had the right outputs (R and L) on the back of your keyboard and some way to convert them to 1/8", like maybe a cheap mixer or old 4-track recorder. But again, it sounds like the USB audio feature is designed to do that so maybe try to figure that out.
Also, even the wave editor that came with your computer probably has some cool features like adding reverb, EQ, or boosting the volume so if you have not tried messing around with your raw recordings using the software that came with your sound card, you should try that too. _________________________ Ninja School -- a short NWN training and adventure module for young players. The distancy and fadeness of the voice is a problem that is present in all my music I've contributed to the vault. Unfortunately it's a problem I haven't been able to solve.
I make my musical scores with electronic piano (Yamaha Clavinova CVP-405). There's a feature to transfer the songs by using USB stick but unfortunately that turns them into mess. My only way to make them sound at least somehow listenable has been to use Audacity and record them through microphone. This causes minor but still annoying drop in their quality.
If anyone knows a solution to this problem I'd be glad to update all my musical pieces to better quality. _________________________ A good module author is PAG: Patient, Ambitious and Gutsy.

Its not bad, but i think it would need some clearing up, it sounds kinda distant (like it was being played from far away, its not really clear sounding to me is what im trying to say) Its a nice idea for beholder music though :] i dont think they have a theme song battle music!
