In order to keep down the size of Patch 1.69, TGA versions of the textures were not included. However, some players' computers cannot handle DDS textures. The solution? I have converted the DDS files into TGA format. :)
In order to decompress this download, you need to have 7Zip or WinRAR installed. Just extract it to your NWN directory - all the textures are already in a folder called "override," so all the textures will automatically go into your NWN override folder.
I use this constantly. There's no better criterion for voting, IMO.
Sorry it took me so long, Dearheart.

Thanks Estelindis, this has made my first wobbly steps in NwN modelling so much easier. _________________________ All the thanks the designer gets is your vote, please use it.

You're welcome, Urk and Gustave. Thanks for the comments.
Dark, these do not make the textures look better or anything. These TGA textures are identical to the DDS ones released in patch 1.69 - they simply don't have DDS compression, and thus take up more space. But a number of NWN players have computers that can't handle DDS, which is why I put these textures up: so they can share in the awesomeness that is 1.69. Apart from that, there is very little use for this package (apart from maybe modders who like to have a full 1.69 texture library to hand). _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset

thanks for this xD i don't really need it but there are some people who need this. good work!
Quick question here, I know that you said these are already in patch 1.69. Im curious since you converted them to .tga files what difference this will make in our current mods? Do these make the textures in the game look better or is this something that is cutting down on size or memory usage in the game? I just need to know before I go adding these to my mod.
Thanks,

You've done something important here. This was a real service. Thanks for helping us keep the player base up! _________________________ If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.
Love this override...have a SIS Mirage 3 which seems unable to read the dds textures so this helps alot with 1.69. Next question is any further word on the cep dds texture conversion to tga? Still seeing cep textures in which so any heads up would be superb. Thank in advance

For some reason, while unpacking the files, a ton of them come up as 0 bytes for me, and when they try to get loaded, it segfaults my Nwn. I've downloaded it twice, going to do so a third time just to make sure it's not the download itself.

A really good idea! _________________________ Check out the latest reviews of new modules: The NWVault Reviewers Guild
*face palms* When BTP updated this, a duplicate download entry was created. I renamed and replaced one of the two with a different file, so that deleting it wouldn't delete the other one as well. Then I deleted it. But the other one disappeared anyway. I'll get on to BTP about it and see what we can do! _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset

Hmm. Well, in spite of the fact that YouSendIt claimed that the download of the Mac version I put up a few months ago would be good indefinitely (I got it as a trial of their better-than-free service), it seems to have expired. I guess I'd better ask BTP to put it up permanently on this page with the FTP jobby!
As for TGA versions of the CEP files: I'd love to do that for ye, folks, but at the same time I don't want to step on anyone in the CEP Team's toes. I'll do the conversions and then ask the CEP if they don't mind me putting them up. They probably won't mind, but it's important to be courteous about these things. _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset

You're a peach my friend, thanks so much for thinking on us! CEP would be welcome too, but this is one hell of a improvement already! Thanks and peace

Hi.
Are you going to make a "DDS to TGA" hak pack for CEP 2.2 or 2.1? I truly need it.
Hi. Hate to be the one person to request this, but I'm a mac user in need of the non-hak version.
don't hate on me! :) _________________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~

Saduj, the textures for the nightmares are called "dla_horse5" and "dla_horse5ab" - and they should be in there. It's possible that they got lost when the new version of the download went up. If they did, I can put them in the little supplementary download. But take a look for those texture names I just mentioned first! :) _________________________ KotOR Heads FR Deity and Faction Cloaks Fall-from-Grace Soundset

The problem is the Art program I use to resize to lower res looses the TGAs layered transparencies, as it translates to and from jpg apparently, as far as i can tell there is nothing wrong with your textures :)
