The .dds file for Aribeth's 'normal' appearance was exported as a TGA using NWExplorer. This modified TGA will add a chain mesh to Aribeth's exposed, upper torso. Yes, I am bucking the trend and I am *adding* clothing/armor to a NWN model. 8) I also gave her an overall 'warmer' look. The tga file is 512x512 and is just over 1MB when unzipped. If you place it in the override folder and use high quality textures, then this file will provide Aribeth with a new look. I will be able to update this zip with differing looks when/if necessary.
Added another texture file option to modify certain colors
Thanks bjdnwn, I found those hand models on the Vault. I don't know if the texture matches that model, but I would guess that those fingers use the same texture.

Hi Poecile,
I think he means kurairyu's hands, which replaces the block-hand model with a model with real fingers. You can find it under Models (obviously). It looks very nice and since it's there, I wouldn't like to play NWN without it. Fortunately it uses the override folder to replace only the models, so there shouldn't be problems with changing some textures.

Very nicely done :)

Thanks. :) _________________________ It...it is just that Fenthick's fate could have been mine. Or yours. Or anyone's. How do you know the path you walk is the correct one? ~Aribeth

The opening dialogue options at the start of Rev2 make reference to Ari's feeling that she was compelled in her official position as Lord Nasher's representative to change the way her armour looked so as to propel a more inviting approach to some of the masses. My feeling is that Ari was uncomfortable with this as she thought it conflicted with the professional image that a Paladin and Cleric should project. I think that Aribeth saw it as her duty to serve Lord Nasher in the way he wanted and was obliged to set aside her personal preferences in favour of the long term effect that Nasher was seeking.
I agree that the armour that she wore had a much more ceremonial than practical aspect to it and the introduction of chain mesh increased its battle worthiness
I admit I've always had issues with Aribeth's original "armor". Seems like easy pickings if you have a bow, knife, or any sharp object. Oh how I wish RPG makers would quit attempting to cater to oversexed adolescents and put some armor (and clothes) on the women. So for what its worth, thank you Poecile!! :)

Ok, if you click the thumbnail up above now, the green-eyed texture is shown in the lower left and upper right. If anyone would like a color variation (green, blue, brown...)
I can always upload textures named c_aribeth_green, c_aribeth_blue and you could rename the one you'd use to c_aribeth. That would doulble or triple the size of the 450KB zip file though... The alternative is to use a photo editor to edit the tga to suit your taste.
I have a green-eyed tga available. I added it to the jpg when you click the thumbnail above, but it hasn't shown up yet. It is pretty easy to change the eye-color if you have a .tga editor.
I was trying for a hazel or coppery color, but it could be called red. My intent is to make the iris color more noticeable when viewing the model from an average distance. The screenshot is an atypical viewing distance.
I don't know what color her eyes should be, perhaps more toward a hazel-brown than a hazel-red?

"Now she doesn't ahve to worry about fighting in the snow"
LOL, I never thought of that before... And I know what it feels like to have one odd snowflake land perfectly down the back of one's collar, brrr! If you're a mage, just cast an ice storm and she'd be a squirming paladicicle.

I'm proud of you P!
She's great dude and you're making her better.
Now she doesn't have to worry about fighting in the snow.

i was just about to scream: 'PLEASE! no more aribeth remakes!' but you done a good job here :) its about time people started dressing her rather than the opposite.
Well done. About time Aribeth looked a little more like a real paladin and less like a street hussy.
Any one that went orc hunting would of worn armor closer to what you made, anyway.
The additional armor does look better and I LIKE it.
crusaderky, I don't have the PLT from the CEP version, or the version in your hak. You can stick this in your hak, but it only changes the appearance of "NWN, Aribeth1"
Yeah, perhaps, I've seen some NPCs climb the walls or get stuck on the top of doors... but can you imagine standing there and having a chat and she's seemingly focused on some object behind you? I think I'd be a little worried about some big monster coming towards my back. 8)
I posted an update that slightly lowers the angle of her line of sight. It should now seem that she is focusing her eyes straight ahead and not somewhere off on the horizon.
Angel_uhv_Death, don't worry, if I get around to giving evil Aribeth a makeover, I'll keep the chain mesh out of the picture. I think I'll go with a tattered, burlap sackcloth covering spotted with little skeleton knuckles, or something similar. 8)
benjamin iz ghey and YES i do mean "ghey" unlike YATHTALLAR and his new spelling/meaning of naked; "nUked", along with gruedragon's definition; "partially caught in an atomic blast" or it could be that YATHTALLER is turned on by super mutants (having to do with the radiation from the half nuke'ed-ness of the uhh... NUKE)i guess i got kinda carryed away there, but anyway...YOU DID THIS TO PISS OFF ALL THE STRAIGHT PLAYERS DIDN'T YOUUUUUU...nahhh jus' messin wit'cha, its pretty cool, i like the new skin for the head, and i agree with gruedragon on his 2nd post, DON'T change the evil model torso.
I wouldn't change the Evil Aribeth model. In many cases in fantasy stories, you can tell how evil a female is by how much skin she's showing. :)
Y'know, one of the reasons I don't take Aribeth as a henchmen in HotU (aside from her romance being bugged), is you can't change her appearance by putting new armor on her.
