Corum is the last of the Vadhagh, a race that was slain almost to the last by the cruel Mabden barbarians. He now possesses the magical Eye of Rhynn and the Hands of Kwyll, which grant him the power to work his vengeance. Like Elric, he is an incarnation of the Eternal Champion, and is now ready for adventure in the worlds of Nwn2.
He comes with the magical items that I mentioned previously, as well as his mighty sword Traitor... and the armor and eye patch that made him famous as the Prince in the Scarlet Robe. I have based his stats off of the information contained the Corum sourcebook for the PnP game Stormbringer, and I had to change the "Hand of Kwyll" to Hands of Kwyll, since in Nwn2 you can't have just one gauntlet, they come in pairs.
Lastly, I added some a shield and some weapons he can hold in his free hand, since he is a two-weapon fighter.
Corum's Stats:
Planetouched Aasimar, Lawful Good, Deity: Torm
Level 10 Paladin / Level 20 Ranger
14 Str (17 with Hands of Kwll)
16 Dex
15 Con
16 Int
19 Wis
12 Cha
Notes:
I had to make Corum a Planetouched Aasimar fror the following reasons -
1. Corum's race, the Vadhagh, are all described in some books, such as in Revenge of the Rose, as being from other planes of existence.
2. Typical Vadhagh are known to have slightly pointed ears, purplish eyes, and rose-pink skin, which Planetouched Aasimar can have in Nwn2.
I chose Torm to be Corum's patron deity in Nwn2 for the following reason -
1. Torm is the closest Faerun equivalent to Arkyn, Corum's patron deity in his native world of the Five Planes.
Neither the Eye of Rhynn nor the Hands of Kwll can be dropped, since they are both considered to be cursed objects.
Hmmm interesting, finnished reading the second series of books for Corumn for about the 4th time only a month ago (The Bull & Spear, Oak & Ram, Sword & Stallion) and its neat to see someone make a conversion of him (although in his Swords of Corum variant).
Heh heck, could even do Lord Gaynor champion of Chaos... come to think of it it would be rather interesting to do The Chronicles of Corum as a Module or both.
My only gripe would be his alignment, id say its more Lawful Neutral, since he's more interested in both sets of books in keeping the balance, keeps to his word always, and while he sort of leans alot to peace and nicety he isnt above doing nothing on occasions if he thinks the outcome is possable futile (that results in others being harmed through his inactions), he also doesnt mind using some questionable artifacts, even though he has alot of sympathy for those they effect, even the real nasty enemies. Id say Lawful Neutral but with a noticeable but not always apparent lean to Good... is one of the good things about Moorecocks heros, they arent either good or bad, and are very capable of both in equal measure. Wouldnt mind seeing a Hawkmoon and Count Brass conversion sometime, might make one myself just for fun.
Goudea: I like that idea a lot! Maybe once my current module project is out of way, I will make some more Eternal Champion related things for Nwn2. Your idea could work well for the Companion to Champions or even a character like The Rose. I'll think about those ideas and others when I have to free time to.
Very good initiative ! I cannot test it because I don't have nwn2 yet.
(I'm still working on the first for the moment)
Something really interesting would be to create henchmen with the different characters of the eternal champion, with a dialog and an easy quest attached to it.
As they have the ability to cross planes, they could be integrated in many modules ...
