**An Introduction to the OMNIVERSE..**
**GREETINGS TRAVELLER**
As follows is a brief welcome guide to the server and the vast realms and OmniQue dimensions of the OMNIVERSE..

Omniverse is unique as a social server. It has two major components. First, it offers you an incredibly complex, richly detailed, exquisitely crafted, interwoven complex quest that takes you sequentially amongst the most exciting areas of the kingdom. Playing as Angel Heart, you can experience a richly divergent and abundantly varied long-term quest that will take many, many hours to complete. -- --
In the process, you will visit approximately two thirds of the server at different times, experience the widest possible range of adversaries, solve relatively complex puzzles, and if you're successful, have the satisfaction of completing a quest as diversely heterogeneous as any ever written for Never Winter Nights. -- --
On the other hand, if your taste runs to rapport-based multiplayer, interactive role-playing, you have at your disposal all of the other online players, plus the entire Dungeon Master Staff, some of whom specialize in spur-of-the-moment vignette-based-interactive-role-playing. Do not be startled when presumed nonplayer characters frequently take on a life of their own. -- --
One of the specialties of this server is Fantasy Fulfillment. Do not be surprised if some of the vignette-based-role-playing, winds up touching upon some of the fantasies that brought you to Never Winter Nights, oiginally. Continue reading for more specific details.

First off, this one's misplaced, I'm fairly certain... it's an NWN1 gameworld.
I popped in a few times, once with a DM to give a tour, a couple other times on my own. The areas all look nice, and there are some nifty looking special effects.
Bringing it down, however... this world would be a munchkin's paradise, except all the thunder that a player might generate for themselves is stolen by the fact that, according to the main concept of the mod, every player is actually an incarnation of it's creator (AngelHeart Omnique). Upon your discovery of this, your subrace is changed to reflect this fact, and you're granted a slew of bonuses and immunities.
The gear is quite powerful, and shows the builder's dedication to his mod in large part by way of his willingness to go through and add all those attributes and bonuses to each of them. I'd do a count of how many bonuses some of these items have, but it's enough that I'm just not interested in sitting down to do the tally. True Seeing is on at least half of the gear (stealthers need not bother with this place, really), and a number of the shields have the lovely property of casting one of the instant death spells on hit at level 40... fortunately, as everyone should be immune to death effects in fairly short order, this won't imbalance PvP much.
While the areas are quite attractive, there's a real lack of direction from the start... without the DM showing me around, it took me quite a while to start figuring out where I should be going, and even then, I was a bit lost. To some extent, this is just because the mod is that big, and with a lot of the areas, they look good enough that you may just not mind being lost. But it's still going to make it difficult to really get into the world in the first place.
But, if you look about a bit from the area you started in, you'll find a character builder (a version of the PGC3, I believe) available, so you won't really need to worry about working your way up in levels to be a match for things, if you should wander into what might otherwise be a bad area for starting characters.
Some of the critters and individuals you'll run into along the way are a bit... unique. Pirates with lightsabers, for example, in one area, while there are what appear to be robots, in another... the desert raiders don't look so bad, though.
All told, the best thing I can say for it is that it's pretty, which it really is. Area design's a strength, here. But the plotline is... well, suffice to say, I don't feel like playing a character who owes all of their abilities, skills, power, and influence, to being an incarnation of the DM's avatar. The lack of direction, upon first arrival, is going to keep many from staying once they arrive (might be worth relocating that starting point, that would probably help). And without scaling back the power level of the gear (by a LOT), it's unlikely this one's going to ever see much popularity.
My two bits worth.
