1. INSTALLING
*****************************************************************
(HAK VERSION)
1- Extract the ".hak"files into your "/Neverwinter Nights 2/hak" folder.
OR
(Override Version)
1- Extract the ENTIRE FOLDERS into your "My Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2/override" folder.
This is a texture replacement. It replaces the Cloth, Chain, Leather and Plate Armor Textures, all of those with untintable areas (Which would always be light-brown or gray) they are now Color #2 or Color #3.
Previously some areas could not be tinted because they had no tint-mapping on those areas.
Some prime examples are the "Hair of Ilmater Armor", another is the Arcane Armor Armor, the tabard was previously yellow and unchangeably so, well now it can be changed. The WHite star armor's shoulders were untintable-grey and for some reason the stars were also included in color 3, well now they are white.
Also, now things like the Monk's Sash are tintable which would always be brown before.
Also, in the case of global (default) items' untintable areas, those areas will now be whichever color was not adjacent to the untitnable section of that item.
This will automaticially work in the Official Campaign, any user created modules and online.
This works for Humans, Halflings, Elves, Planetouched Males and Females.
No support for Half-Orcs, Gnomes or Dwarves. (Except for helmets)

I thought I voted on this long ago before uninstalling and going back primarily to Morrowind and Oblivion... I now re-downloaded and submitting the appropiate vote, a perfect 10, which is deserving. _________________________ @===============================================@
Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

The first override wants me to insert a disk before I can extract them :s

The HAK version seems to be broken or corrupt, every time I load it to my toolset, and restart it... it messes up whole module (areas do not load, etc). I did download it twice, and I can open it with HAK editor, I am running this with expansion and latest patch. Something must be wrong.
I got it working. I noticed that none of my overrides were working so I removed them then made a new folder and put in the replaced the ones that I knew wouldn't conflict with MOB and it started working.
Does this cause any conflicts with Mask of the Betrayer? Will you update it for it if its required?

It allows the content builders to color otherwise uncolorable parts of the different items in the game, so it will automaticially affect any items you already have. _________________________ I believe in science and that science can explain everything,

Alright- I'm a NewB to nwn2, I admit it. I think I'm missing some point here- This does NOT enable me to, in game, (online, in particular,) select an area of my character's gear, and color it, as the old dyes in nwn1 did correct? Only allows the *editing* of colors, externally, and changes the look of the gear that's already got colors associated?
If not, then how do I go about using this while in game? _________________________ "There's no religion but time & motion-

Absolutely as long as I 'know' it's being distributed :) _________________________ I believe in science and that science can explain everything,

Is it allowed to put your compilation on the game magazine DVD? Of cause, with all the credits and etc.

Just drag and drop the override into a new hak and all of your problems will be solved >_> _________________________ I believe in science and that science can explain everything,

Trashpilepunker, try starting a new game and see if anything changes. Maybe games already started are not affected. _________________________ Reino de Aldor

I'm afraid that the "duplicate texture" problem described previously is endemic through the hak and quite serious. After I added it to my module (ignoring the error message as another poster had suggested that it wasn't a problem) and saved, I was no longer able to re-load my module. Consequently, I lost about a day's worth of work (fortunately I had a backup file from this morning).
When I went in to try to delete the duplicate files, I found that the same error message would just crop up again on a different file. When I deleted those, it would appear on a new one. After several iterations I stopped and gave up.

It should work, unless of course the robe's colors were set to be all brown or whatever. _________________________ I believe in science and that science can explain everything,

hmmm maybe i'm missing something important, but i can't seem to get this to work. I am in the middle of a campaign and i thought my monk's robe was a little boring so i installed this expecting to be able to change the colors. i turned on the game and nothing is different. i extracted everything properly -- is it possible that either this mod doesn't work with patch 1.05, or could it be conflicting with another mod i have installed?

This is a worthy addition to the game whether it's for the campaign or multi-player. Adding this to my server right now. Great job, man. You fixed something that really needed tweaking.
