Extract From ReadMe Regarding Latest Update:
=============================
LATEST VERSION (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)
=============================
This version has been updated to work with NWN2 OC and MotB as well. However, MotB and SoZ use the same name for the heartbeat script and will, therefore, require the player to rename the appropriate file for each game.
I have left the SoZ heartbeat script as the default used - and so to change this to be used with MotB, the player must rename the k_mod_hb.NCS and k_mod_hb.NSS (inside my hak folder) to something like k_mod_hb.NCS_soz and k_mod_hb.NSS_soz and then rename the k_mod_hb.NCS_motb and k_mod_hb.NSS_motb to k_mod_hb.NCS and k_mod_hb.NSS. Reverse the process to use with SoZ again.
As the NWN2 OC uses a different name for the heartbeat script, then nothing else is required for this game.

This adds a new feat to every PC the player controls called "Pause". This feat can be dragged to the quickslot and used to start/stop an auto-pause facility that operates every six seconds (a combat round).
While it is not exactlly turn-based combat, it is a reasonable compromise for those that like tactical play and combat at a slightly slower pace, at times.
A folder called "Auto-Pause Combat" that can be placed directly into your NWN2 override folder. Further instructions for use and file information can be found within the Readme.txt inside this folder.
I cannot say whether this will conflict with Kaedrin's work or not as I do not use it. However, my own code is very small and can probably easily be added/amended with theirs (or vice-versa) if there are any shared scripts.
Your biggest problem will be if their work also amends the spells and/or feat 2da files, in which case you will need to add my lines relating to the "Pause" feat to their version of the 2da files (probably the easiest ay as mine are only one line) and make sure the constant values relate correctly to them in the alb_constants script.
Sorry I cannot be of much more help than that. If I ever get my module finished, I will be able to support these smaller spin-off projects more easily as I would have more time to give them.
If you mean Soul Shaker (NWN1 module), then do let me know how you get on. :) It is a very different kind of mod and requires careful play to succeed. A player can very easily fail if they do not approach it with caution. ;) If, however, you mean my current project (NWN2 - Better The Demon), then, hopefully, I will get it finished for you to be able to play ... eventually. ;)
All the best.

Sorry to bother you, don't know if this is where I should even be asking but will this conflict with Kaedrin's PrC Pack v1.38.5? I see a few of the files are the same as some in there, don't know if they will overwrite those or if they will somehow combine and work together? If you get a chance and know the answer please let me know. Thanks for your time, looking forward to hopefully trying your mod.
Hello, your auto-pause script makes playing the SOZ campaign much more enjoyable for me. If its possible, I was wondering if you could release a version for the original and MOTB campaigns, or point me in the right direction of how to implement it myself. I am hardly an 'old school' D&Der, but definitely enjoy slower, more tactical battles. Cheers.
Thanks for posting ... and do let me know how it goes. :) As I write in my blog and in the forums, I decided not to include too many other "features" as yet, for two reasons: First, I did not want to complicate matters that may affect the SoZ, and secondly, I am not sure if extra features will be needed.
You can turn the auto-pause feature on and off at any time, so if you suspect a combat, you can hit auto-pause feature before you enter a dangerous situation. :)

Hey thanks so much for doing this! I have been waiting for a very long time for some semblance of an autopause feature to surface. I have not tried this yet but will try to post impressions after a while of using it. Would it be possible to use initiative rolls as a trigger for your autopause script? That way it would trigger anytime combat begins. What a great new years present :D
There is a slight alteration to the code to the latest version: I added a missing paramter that helps add the feat to other PCs. _________________________ World of Althéa Blog: Link
