These swords are currently replacing some of the original models that came with the game.
Unfortunately, the file I downloaded was missing the texute file required for the short swords. I had to pull them out of my haks. _________________________ Co-founder of the PW (open beta) Sea of Dragons. We've included this in khali and I forgot to vote. This is solid work, though I think the textures could use a bit of improvement.

hi
i must admit i am tool set retarded and could never add these to a character build mod. is there any way to use debug mode to do the whole "giveitem yourfile_yourswords thing"...cuz your blades are nice and not "anime" looking

nice weapons, better than standard ones

Some great looking blades here. Awesome work. Any chance we might see a remake of the NWN1 double sided weapons? i.e. two bladed sword, double sided mace, and double sided axe. I miss my fighter/weapon master/rogue who specialized in that two bladed sword. NWN1 did pretty decent with fighting graphics. I was so looking forward to recreating my character but not seeing any 2B swords was a bit upsetting. I searched all over and tried with the tool set but I have come up short.
Either way, nice weapons, I really like them.

I like these models. In fact i like all new models because I don't know how to make them ;) _________________________ Spellcasting Framework Wild/Dead Magic Zone (Spellcasting Framework add-on)

The idea is good, and,I would say, necessary - the default weapon models look too... well, I haven't the proper word in English. The aren't for everyday use, as for me.
IMHO, the best option would be so-called "barbarian style" - simple, but comfortable for use and plain and realistic-looking weapons, and this work gives me a case to hope that the author of this pack can make them.
you could use them in the OC if you started a new character and put a couple of these blades in an equiper mod for use befor you start the OC. If there in your override they will work fine in the OC.
@ stone_hard:
Those don't override standard blades (this pack adds Lswords from 20 to 27), so You can't use them in the OC. Maybe renaming the MDB, but....
Well done! Thanks for these. I hope a lot more historical content is uploaded in the future, for the more low-fantasy modules. _________________________ Saerain
Hi!
This looks like some really nice blades. Just a quick question, do I simply place the files in my Override folder for them to take effect in the original campain?

A much needed improvement over the original swords. Great! I eagerly awaits the coming of the LOTR sword pack. ;)
Ok...you were right guys :)
I've redone proportions and now I think they're totally right. Thx for your suggestions.
If now they're ok I'll go for Short and Bastard swords. I'll work on textures too, but adding bump noise to the blades give them a "usured" appearance that I don't like really much. Let me know about this.

A huge improvement over the NWN 2 longswords, though the blades seem a tad too wide compared to the hilt. I'd also reduce the size of the crossguards somewhat to get away from the NWN2 proportions and closer to historical proportions.
Other than that, very good work and already part of my Override.
I hope you'll take on the other weapon types as well (Might be a good idea to have replacing version of the models as well :) ).
NWN2 swords are totally out of proportions...so I just made those blades using NWN2 long sword scale. They seems quite "big" I know, but they are just a little smaller then nwn2 standard blades...look it by your self :)
However I'll make some changes (reduce blades width). Texture is quite rith in my opinion. It's clean...as "not usured" swords should be. I'll work on it.
I second concerns on blade thickness.
I would say that the second sword, resembling an enlarged dagger, most closely fits the bill.
Love the 1st and 2nd style handguards, they could be smaller though.
Third crosspiece could be different, with thicker bars and smaller spheroidal pieces.
[Hey, non so il nome in inglese...]
...
Wonder if NWN1 models could be simply moved over to NWN2 with no major file conversion.
More historical arms would be appreciated.
These look nice but the blades seem to lack any kind of texture. A rougher surface would seem more realistic.

Great Idea, but the blades still seem to thick in my opinion.
