At the moment, this is a revamped version of the Human color palette. If there is interest, I can do the other races as well.
This color palette is a more vivid and varied version of the default colors, but I have taken great care not to change any particular color too much, so that NPCs won't suddenly become technicolor. The racial balance in the game just gets more interesting. :-) People with white hair are definitely a bit more noticeable now.
Simply drop the 2da file into your override folder. For me, this works in just the My Documents override.
Please make comments if the colors look very odd- I have no way of knowing how they look on other monitors.
General note- if you mess with the 2da yourself, be careful not to change the character count at all. Adding an extra line at the end of the file, for example, changes the pose of the character in the creation screen, and while it's interesting watching them stand at battle ready, it doesn't speak well for game stability.
Interesting idea. I've always felt that the United Colors mod kind of went a bit too far for customization, to the point of making it hard to achieve normal colors for a race.
Changing the color palette for character creation will in no way affect NPCs, by the way. Still, things should be kept within range of colors a race could actually have.
I don't personally play as humans very often, but if you made changes to aasimar, tiefling, or the elven races I'd be eager to check them out. -SushiSquid
What he said :). If you did some more races it would really make an impact I think! _________________________ NWN2 Voting Standards - Tattoo it on your forehead.

Hm. I got the impression the NPCs had shifted, but I might have just been projecting. :-) Saves me a lot of trouble if I don't have to worry about them, but where are the NPC color sets, then? (Just want to be sure before I rearrange.)
I haven't tried the United Colors set- I try to make as small of modifications as will achieve my desired effect. Minimizes glitches. I don't object to a limited color set for a race, but I would like to have the full racial variation available. :-)
Humans are actually the hardest to make work; they have the most variable coloration. I'll probably make at least Wild Elves- I want copper hair there, too. (Yes, I'm obsessed with red hair. :-)
I'll take a look at United colors- I might do a set for that as well, but I don't think a UI change should be necessary just to have everyone not look beige. :-D

Not bad, but I think the existing United Colors UI mod on the Vault does the job with its standard 256-color palette fine enough.
A more useful content would be to provide different 256-color palettes for the United colors mod. For example, I hardly believe many of the super-bright colors of its standard palette are ever useful and could rather be replaced by more variance of skin colors.

Interesting but somehow nothing special
compared to the already existing colour editor
