DM Entropy: The skin tones should automatically be fairly close for most of the Obsidian player character heads with the exception of the Aasimar heads. The aasimar heads weren't standardized with the rest of the heads that use the human body type ( human, halfling, halfelf, tiefling). N_* heads (N_human, N_elf, etc) will work with the same armor blueprints as the players as long as the NPC's skin tone is set to match the head's skin color. Community made heads might be a problem if the creators didn't maintain the same tinting scheme as the original Obsidian heads. in these cases as well as for the default aasimar, the body skin tones won't match. If you don't mind supplying the information, could you tell us what race, head, body, and skin color you were using that didn't match? Each race body needs a different color diffuse to get the heads to match properly and it's very possible we assigned the wrong texture when we were copying the meshes. -Monkey

Really nice work. I have a rather noobish question though. Does one have to make a seperate blueprint to match each skin tone? I tried it on an NPC of colour and of course there was a skin matching issue as with other armours. Is there some trick yet to workaround that problem other than making seperate blueprints? I can just imagine the number of blueprints needed if one was to make this available as items in shops for players in a MP scenario. _________________________ LotR: Heroes of the Third Age

Thanks for using these in your module :) Our intent in our armor making is to provide variety mostly for NPC characters and scripted situations. Our second volume is almost complete and should be ready for release in about 2 weeks. it will include 5 new armor styles(10 total if you count the hair and hairless versions), 3 helms, 3 belts, a wolf hide cloak, bare feet and sandals. It's still mostly barbarian style armor, but can easily be used for "the land that time forgot" types of settings. Volume 2 will still be male only, for all races. After the release of SSAP2, we'll me putting out a quickie Robin Hood style tunic for both male and female, all races, and then we'll be starting Girlie Garb volume 1 which will mirror all the armors and tattoos of SSAP1, for the gals of all races, of course :) We're always open to suggestions, just bear in mind it takes time to make them. Volume 2 will have a wolf-hide cloak, per request of Uthgard; a beltless version of the cloth pants per request of Xthon; the crossed chest strap per Ben-Hur's request; and "spartan" style leather speedos by request of AffableRogue and BECC4 from the shirtless saga threads. You've been duly warned :P -Monkey

well done! after playing around with some texturing in PS, i quickly realised how hard this is to get right and how polished your work is. thanks!

Aha! Yes, I just checked with a default Obsidian armor and the same part does the same thing! Clearly their problem, not yours :)

It's not an issue with the body armor. It's an issue with A_EEM_RUpArm24.mdb. Something Obsidian needs to fix, since it's a bug with one of their original parts. Good catch :) I'll send in a bug report.

Okay, I've discovered something odd ... trying the Beginner's Luck prefab on an elf results in one of the upper arm bracers floating around near the floor. I'm not sure if I've got something odd going on in my override directory, or if there's a problem with the elf mesh and that particular bracer.

That shouldn't be too hard to add. I'll see what we can do :)

Hi and thanks! If it's possible, could you PLEASE make a version of the 'X' shaped NWN 1 Barbarian/Gladiator leather torso harness as an armour add-on, with the chest symbol for your next release?
