v2 is now uploaded. I simply fixed a few descriptions.
WARNING:The custom TLK file used for this hak will change your game to the English version. If you want to use this and keep the game in a different language, feel free to modify this TLK file or copy lines to modify your own.
This is the Deities from the world of Dragonlance. I am still working on the descriptions but this is fully useable at this time. I'm not sure how the HAKs are working, but the Overrides are just fine. This TLK will also change some superficial things in the races and tips, etc. The intention is only for deities right now so keep that in mind when the races aren't describes properly. As I update the Deities, I will update the files and it will get prettier. Enjoy.

PS. You will not be getting the Krynn world image at this point. You'll have to wait. Feel free to check out my High Clerist's Tower Screens of the work in progress though in the screenshot section.

I LOVE it! Adding the deities from Dragonlance will make NWN2 a must-play for DL fans, even if you have a lot of a little knowledge of the Forgotten Realms series.
I have gone back to revisit this project. With the custom TLK file now working, I am putting this into a nicer and cleaner version. Look for a new upload within the month. _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator

oops... I meant that to be a 7.. 5 is harsher than I intended...

I was prepared to give this a 10 when I first DLed it. I figured it would save me a ton of work on the PW i am building. However, after I started playing with 2da files, and becoming more adept at manipulating them; I realized how much of a mess you made of the dialog.TLK. The races, and classes, I have added (such as all the draconian races, the knights of the rose, sword, crown ect ect...). I accomplished this by adding new lines AFTER the padding and adding NEW lines to the dialog.TLK... I then set the races, and classes, I did not want in to non-pc races... this preserves the integrity of the original files...
Anyway my point is: your method was very sloppy... so i gave you a 7 rather than a 9... because it was a valiant effort, but as I said.. very sloppy.
I've been a fan of DL since that first book WAAYYYY back in 1984 .. and I am a bit ashamed (sp?) to say that I have not read all the books (well reading over 190 books from one setting is a bit much even for me). That being said I would love to see more for NWN2 from Krynn. Yes there are those that would say "well start making some", as I have been away from NWN2 for over a year, and still do not have the skill or patience to work the toolset, it's nice to see that people are "picking up the slack". Just downloaded the file, when I get home will install it and see how she goes (then maybe watch the DL movie/cartoon again to get a quick fix for the world).
Just to keep everyone informed, we have assembled a team and have begun a Dragonlance project. We are always looking for new people. _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator

Still no updates as I am hard at work on the High Clerist's Tower. I will make updates on 31MAR07. I will also be releasing the classes and backgrounds HAK at that time. _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator
Sorry no updates this week as I have been working on my High Clerist's Tower. A few modelling snags have taken all of my time. _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator

Fantastic! I tested the override and it works perfectly ;)
I fixed a few descriptions and uploaded v2. I see there have been 54 downloads and not many comments. I don't honestly care about votes, but I would like to receive input on making the HAK better. Let me know if there is information you would like added and please let me know if you find inconsistancies. _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator

Thanks a million!
Finally I can start making the module I want.
1. I have copied much of my NWN2 directory to my Override folder. You may need to create some of these directories.
2.C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\ui\default\images\donotatlas\main_background is the main image obviously. I opened it with photoshop, added a layer, then deleted the lower layer. If you need to revert, you should still have the original file, not that it matters.
The sub image is the character creation screen image.
3. save and close. 24bit tga, no compression.
4. Watch friends and family say.. ooooh _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator

Excellent work!
Could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me how to change those background pictures? Where are the original files? I am working on a mod of my own and I would love to be able to add my own backgrounds.
Thanks in advance.
After reconsidering the high demand I expect among non-builders for the classes HAK, I decided to release a version with normal classes and by the book prerequisites. I will also release a version for builders which will be more dramatic in application as discussed previously. I think this will allow for the maximum benefit of players and modders alike. _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator
Energia, sorry about the tlk. I really would not know what to do about that at this point. If you want you could copy the necessary lines from the tlk and paste them into the international one. You have all of the necessary files. Theres really not much I can do there.
As far as the deities not appearing, I think you'll find they are based on alignment. I had to use some self-determination in which deities would be available to which alignments, but the Holy Order of the Stars clearly states which alignments can be clerics of said deities. Those alignments allow each deity to show up and I also allowed other alignments for each, based on what I thought made sense. For instance, you would not find a LG character who would be loyal to Takhisis, but you very well might find a CG character loyal to Zeboim, especially if that individual was a sailor. Once again, you may change any of these files to suit your needs. You may turn all of the Gods on for all alignments by opening the 2da file in the toolset by view>2da file then nwn2_deities. Go to the alignment column then set every block to 1 for non spell casters or 2 for spellcasters. I.E. if you set it to 1 you may choose the deity if you are not a Divine Spell caster. 2 there will be no restrictions. Then in the immediate window, hit save. It will be saved to you override folder in my documents.
I also pasted and copied most of my NWN2 folder to my documents so I could manipulate them. And manipulate them I have. I will put a note in the update concerning placing them in a different folder. Thanks for that note. I simply created that directory.
One last note... I will be checking the idea vault from time to time for requests for Dragonlance material. Please post requests there. I am currently working on the High Clerist's Tower of which there is screenies in the screenie section, and classes. The classes are coming along nicely as is the HCT for that matter. I usually do 2 or 3 projects at a time, so i don't get burned out on one particular thing. The HCT could take me awhile as its a huge undertaking. The classes I hope will be out by 31MAR07. I will definately release something on the end of the month, and try to update existing projects by the end of each week. Like the Deity Pack, you make get the Classes HAK in an unfinished state. But it will still be useable. The classes pack is also quite an undertaking and I included a few tweaks in there to make it a more true to the setting. I have no idea how Mystics will work out at this point, as I understand there are some Spell Table issues. I also would like to note that I am making these for my own personal use as well and there is no way possible I can tailor these specifically to everyone's needs. The majority of the work will be done and it may just be a small change here or there to get what you need. I say because when the classes comes out, some may be surprised to find certain core classes worked as prestige classes. I worked the core classes as those which are things which could be learned without institutional training. For instance fighter or mariner. You could learn these skills by while growing to adulthood. Being a cleric of Paladine, however, takes training. This will be a low level Prestige Class. Anyone can be a generic cleric. But saying you are loyal to Paladine and casting cleric spells does not make you a Cleric of Paladine anymore than flying a plane makes you a pilot. What then of the other Prestige Classes? They will be included and have even stricter entrance rules. This will make them truly unique characters as they are intended to be. As I said, all of these rules are changeable and you may turn off the prerequisites quit easily. This is just how I need the classes for my mod. I also understand it does not line up with the printed material. I just wanted a little more effort to go into deciding which class to play and, it will put more emphasis on the Gods and on the role you play. If you had to work to become a Cleric of Mishakal, then you would not give up on it so easily. You would pay more attention to how you played the game in an effort not to lose your status. Make sense? Good. I thought it would. Anyhow. Feel free to post your ideas and enjoy the mods. _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator
1. (the most important)
dialog.tlk converts international versions in english.
2. in readme.txt there is
"place images in C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\ui\default\images\icons"
Directory doesn't exsist. I put images in " C:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\Override" and it works too.
3. this deites doesn't appare when game starts (I don't known why):
Ionthas
Lunitari
Takhisis
Sargonnas
Morgion
Chemosh
Hiddukel
Nuitar
Thanks for all your comments and votes. I appreciate them and more Dragonlance Content is on the way. I have no plans to do material for other settings at this time, but there is a great tutorial in the bioware forums called "A Journey of a thousand miles" by Maria Caliban. It covers most of the process. I've made some improvements all ready, and I will be posting an update near the end of the week. _________________________ Freelance Dragonlance Creator

Excellent. I love the Dragonlance setting, and seeing what you are doing for Neverwinter Nights has gotten my hops up for a great Mod or PW in the works. I recommend this for any and all Dragonlance fans.
Good work!
