This release offers seven new helmet and hat models for your perusal. Viking helmets! Pirate tricornes! Turbans! These are all available for EVERY base race and sex combination, which amounts to nearly 100 new models. They are all quite tintable. Respective inventory icons are included.
Note: Please report any bugs or crashes that you think may be involved with these helmets to me! As I said, there are almost 100 models in this release, and I simply don't have time to double or triple check them all. Include, if you can, which helmet and which race you experienced the bug with.
This is the override edition, for those who are looking to simply try these models out, or use them in an existing single-player game. I offer it for you convenience, but as always, be aware that files should generally NOT live in the Override folder. This is a winzip file.

Very good overall additions :) I'm using them in my pw and giving you credit.

Very nice.
If anyone is worried about the icons overwriting and doesn't know how to edit 2a files (like me...), you can open the hak with the erf editor in the toolset and remove the icons2da file.
You'll have to assign new icons to the prefabs, but it works fine.

This is a great mob. Love the viking goggled helm. However, if I load this mod it will overwrite most of the unoffcial mod's equipment icons, so other mod's icon will will be broken _________________________ [img:f2f0b58e9c]http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f40/Soror_Rose/Rose%

Cuteunit:Yeah, I am planning on releasing everything on that page. No ETA, but they're quite close to done. I was working on them maybe a month or two back, but got to feeling rather burnt out, and currently NWN2 isn't even installed on my harddrive had to clear up space. I just need to come back to it fresh one day and wrap it up. I'm probably just going to release them as an update to this package, rather than a new one.
I'll try to get a Community News update thingie on the front page when I do get it updated.
On your website you have a diving helmet, some nice glasses, etc.. I really want the glasses.. are you going to release those? Or where can I find them?

Loved the Norse helm. It looks *perfect* on Dwarven chars.
Would love to see a Norman nasal helm too.

I used this in game, and I think it's about perfect. Everything tints well, they look good on the characters, and I love the turbans!
Thanks for this.

okay so I downloaded this because I got very excited at the prospect of actually haveing a norse or viking helmet for my viking barbarian character i made.
Since downloading and following the instructions, I ran into a problem.
I put the .hak into the hak folder. I followed instructions to add that hak to the toolset - all went fine.
I opened the toolset, opened my module, created a helmet. Base Item: Helmet. named the tag, resref, etc and created the helmet with the exact same properties as my character has to simply replace it.
under the ICON line, I looked up and found half-plate helm 51; looked good in the little icon pic.
Then ran the module. After picking up the item, I opened the inventory and it looked like a square kinda looked like the "Windows" icon. Four small squares of red, blue, green, and yellow.
I could still equip it but it looked like a swashbuckler hat with a feather in it.
I tried three times to make this helmet and all three times it did the same thing.
Having the bug issue as well. Any clues yet?
Only, apparently, on PCs, in Multi, haven't tried it in mods yet. Can't know if it's happening to others' PCs on my screen, since I don't know which hat/hoot/helm others have equipt- some certainly do wear hats I can see.
I have both the hak and the OR installed.
Specificly, the ones that don't show all look like bandana-caps, and I can't get most hood-types to look like anything but caps.

An absolute must have for anyone who wants a bit of variety in headgear and also extremely useful for creating modules that take place away from the Sword Coast or even in entirely different gameworlds/settings.

Any chance you are going to add masks and (are they called hoods?) for the rogue or ranger clichee?^^

superb, thankyou yarrrghhh! thar be pirates in me mod now!
Ichyro: Thanks for the comments! I don't have any plans for a Norman nasal helm right now, but if I ever expand this hat pack, that might make a good addition. I could probably just use the Norse helm, edit the model a bit, and retexture it... maybe include a chainmail coif beneath it.
Hmm, concept art, you say? Sure, I wouldn't mind having it, if you don't mind. I sort of collect reference images, in fact. I've got a big images folder full of stuff like authentic medieval armor and clothing and architecture, etc. If the file's not terribly large, you can send it to [email protected].
I'm glad to see someone doing work that isn't just scantily clad female armors. :D And the fact that you went very innovative in helmets, featuring a norse one, an Arabian-like Turban, and the Sikh turban, is just great. If I could make a suggestion, since you seem to be doing the iconic headgarb of an area, have you thought about doing a nasal norman helmet?
By chance, would you need some more helmet concept art from the near eastern area? I've got a fair share of it and can send you over some. :)
I would vote 10 if it would let me, I think I have to Dl it first. @_@

Excellent work very detailed and a worthy addition to the game. A pity that these fine helmets can only be displayed on main characters and not on companions in the OC. (At least I dont know how to do it) I look forward to seeing more of your work.
I too am running into odd visibility issues. Some hats show up, others don't. I'm also seeing the entire creature model turned invisible and the game periodically crashes. Now, it may be unrelated to the hats, but I'm thinking it may be a cause.
Specifically, the tricorn hat showed up in the game, but the others didn't.
As an aside, Schazzwozzer, these are great models. I really hope these issues can get sorted out.
