NWN2 ORIGINAL HAKPAKS

Name  Arpharazon's nomap
Author  Ar Pharazon
Submitted / Updated  04-10-2007 / 04-10-2007
Category  Placeables
Patch  1.03
Description
If you hate the minimap when you build a maze, this little thing is for you.

I made a placeable to hide in the minimap.

To use, adjust the size of the nomap placeable to the size of the area. For example, for a 12*12 area, the placeable size must be 12,12,1.

Adjust the height of the nomap placeable .

-----------------------------------
Convert this placeable to environment object.
------------------------------------

That all.

Look at screenshot for example.

It's a great idea.
But it always looks like that maze we see in the pics?
Ideally it would show something more generic, just a flat texture, so it can be used also in forests, etc

Excellent work, I picked it up in the Skullhak because Im not too skilled at 2da consolidation, but wanted to come to the source to give thanks.

OK, except for that error, the HAK works just fine! Great work!

I get an error when trying to place it in the area: "System Format Exception..." Should this work with the v1.11 of NWN2?

Nicely done, and well done. Must have for anyone who wants to keep some secrets from their players ;)

To help others with using this: when I loaded the erf, the placeable had no appearance and didn't show up in game. Go to its properties and change appearance to CityMFloor04 (there will be two entries, you want the one that looks like the screenshot).

Also, make sure you convert the placeable to environmental (I missed that part of the instructions first time through).

I found that setting the height of the object to 20 worked well in the crypt tileset.

Once I got it working, I'm quite pleased with the result.
