Contents: This package provides the meshes and texture assets for armors that have bare male limbs. These armors are not meant to be used "as is" in the game. They are not anatomically correct. They are meant to be used by other armorers interested in making armors that show some skin.
--Meshes:
P_HHM_NK_Body256.mdb - human male body, poly count: 952
Diffuse: P_HHM_NK_Body256
Tint: P_HHM_NK_Body256_T
Normal: P_HHM_NK_Body256_N
MaleArmorBase_UV512.jpg - 512x512 UV map layout for all the body meshes
MaleArmorBase_UV1024.jpg - 1024x1024 UV map layout for all body meshes
P_HHM_NK_Body256.psd and P_HHM_NK_Body256.rif - Photoshop and Painter files containing all the layers needed to make the racial variations and hairy diffuse textures
--Notes on how to use the diffuse files:
The diffuse texture file contains 3 optional layer groups - racial skin tones, human/gnome body hair, and dwarf/orc body hair.
racial skin tones - The base skin tone of each racial head type differs enough to make matching the color around the neck to the head impossible with just one universal diffuse map. So each race needs a different skin color to make things look better. Only one layer inside this group should be active at any time.
body hair - To add body hair to humans and gnomes, turn on everything in the human/gnome body hair group. To add body hair to dwarves and orcs, turn on everything in both the human/gnome body hair group and the dwarf/orc body hair group.
Permissions: Anyone is allowed to modify the meshes and textures included with this package and redistribute their derivations as long as the derivative work is used for the game Neverwinter Nights 2 and the person doesn't charge money for the derivative work.

do you have to use 3ds max to make the armors or can somethink like photoshop work?

Hey, awesome work on this guys, 10/10 hehe
I've got a small request though. In the next pack you're planning to release, will you include the hairy-chested textures from shirtless-saga? I was searching for a hairy chested base skin to use but couldn't find any. Thanks! _________________________ Capitalization is the difference between "I had to help my uncle Jack off a horse.." and

Doh! I should have read the readme. :S
Anyway, this is awesome, as always.

Well, its July. Will there be an update to this file? It would be great to have the body hair version of this available.

Having the various layers all in one file is incredibly helpful and makes customizing armor for different races much easier.
aegnorS1: We'll take another pass at the arms and torso, and try to get better definition in those areas, but the changes won't happen until June.

Dear Barrel of Monkeys, thanks for the answer!
Well the one place that always got me me was the spacing between the arms and torso, I know I said blocky but in essence I meant stocky... the way the arms stick to the body looks a bit weird, and also the way the arms are, it seems there are no elbows, the entire arm to the wrist is kind of chunky, much like the waistline, there is none! If you could do something about it I would really appreciate it!
As for the 'appendages', I just thought it looked odd, I mean poor bloke!! : D
PS I also wanted to congratulate you on the adopt a half orc post, it was wicked!
Keep up the miracle work!

aegnorS1: I suspect the blockiness stems from a combination of low poly count and my rather poor normal mapping skills. The mesh poly count probably won't change since other builders need some space to add onto the body, but I'm always fiddling with the textures, trying to make them better. Is there any particular area that I need to focus on?
As for the missing "appendage", we made these meshes as the base models for our next armor pack release, and we didn't need genitalia :P We decided just to release them, since we found them useful as a starting point in our designs, and we thought others might find it useful not to have to worry about the body and just focus on the clothes they wanted to add.
paladin333: I agree. I liked the nwn1 modular armor system better, where the torso was separate from the legs and hips.

Way to go! This is what Obsidian needed to do in the first place. it needs to be done for all races and humanoid models. I don't care that it's not anatomically correct

Thats what was missing to create more Clothing for male characters.
Concerning the anatomicaly "correct" male model... you can't use such a model for creating Clothes or Armor.

Nice Work!!
Just one point, I've noticed that the male bodies in the game tend to be a little on the blocky side is there any way to remedy that?
And a rather surplus point, the poor guy seems to have misplaced his genitalia (hopefully not up a tree in Rutland!)
Is there any way you could, well endower him?
What about hands? I'm assuming that NWN2 doesn't allow one to be free of gloves (correct me if I'm wrong.) If so wouldn't it be prudent to have some "naked" hands to go along with your bare arms? Just a thought.
I've tested the animations for walking, running and kneeling. If anyone finds any animation errors please post them here and we'll get them fixed. We have bare feet finished that match the body, but those are being release in Shirtless Saga armor pack 2.
