Tintable Wings! This override is a bridge between Patrick "whatbrick" Wilson's "Wings Galore" pack and my "Orc Spoiled" pack. Thanks to Patrick, we've finally got wings for our Dragon Disciples. There was just one thing missing...the Succubus wing model wasn't tintable. Now they are! Now you can add properly colored wings to your Dragon Disciple characters, Tieflings and Succubi.
I don't know how they do wings in MotB but there is a new feat called "Winged" that gives the character 20% extra movement speed bonus. One of the companions has it, so check it out.
desertstalker, I noticed you posted a while back, so you may not see this. For what it's worth, this override is very simple. It's only an altered tint and normal for succubus skin. The best way to see if it works is to open up the toolset. Make a creature. Put succubus wings on it and change the color of the creature. If the wings change color, then everything is working. If not, then there is either something strange interfering with it that you've installed, or you didn't put it in the override folder. I think maybe your problem is that the GFF editor is a little confusing. I haven't touched the GFF editor in months, so I can't remember exactly how to do it. But I do remember that there is more than one tint subfolder that controls skin color. Head will do only the head. Another one does the tail and wings. Sorry, I can't tell you the exact one right now.
I cannot seem to get the wings to tint, they always show as white with pinkish bits (like in your screenshot) changing the Tint_Head struct in GFF editor changes the skin colour of the character but not the wing colour.
I Have installed these files in the same folder (sub folder in Overrides) as the Wings Galore stuff.
Hey Reeron. I'm looking at the wingmodel.2da now. Looks like that's correct. I only played around with Half-orcs, so I didn't know the numbers for other races.
I wonder if Obsidian is going to make wings appear on Dragon Disciples or selectable at character creation for Tieflings in MotB...? That would be much more convenient. One thing I noticed recently is that the Darkvision feat in version 1.06 lists Hagspawn as a race which receives Darkvision at character creation. Make me wonder if Hagspawn will be selectable as a player race.... Also, in the Data/Materials folder, I discovered that there are some new cool looking skins with wicked tribal tatoos for Dwarves and Halflings. They don't have models attached to them, so they don't appear in the game.
Thanks. I read that already, and it said to use 03 for Succubus wings. But the wingmodel.2da file uses 15 for Succubus wings. Where is he getting the 03 from? That would be bat wings. As for the model # I guess 36 would do for a male and 37 for a female?
OK I get it now. 03 means the third version so 36 and 37 WOULD be Succubus wings for humanoid males and humanoid females. However, if I wanted Eriynes wings for a male or female (humanoid), I would use 29 (male) or 14 (female). Is that correct? If so, then I figured it out. I'll fool around with tinting later, I just want to know if my above values are correct.
Patrick "whatbrick" Wilson put directions on his page on how to select the wings. I figured it out by reading his Wings Galore page. This pak only makes the wings tintable. The value is different for every race, you have to open up the wingsappearance.2da in the toolset to see the value. For Half-Ocs, I think its 42. In the GFF editor, I believe that you tint skin with the Tint_Head selection. Expand the menu under Tint_Head. Then expand #1. You'll see an a,b,g,r. Set r to 252, b to 33, g to 33 and a to 0. 252,33,33 is a reddish color I think. If you just want to see the wings, use them for mod building or play around with the tint, you can do everything easily in the toolset. Make a creature, put wings on it, change skin color, easy as that.
Using GFF Editor I see wings set to 0 in my .bic file- so what value do I use? 15? A small readme file detailing how to use this hak would probably be a good idea (or even some directions with the text under the download link). Many more people will use it if they know what to do since just throwing it into the override folder isn't enough.
Also, how do you tint the body and wings? I'm already putting in 30-50 hours per week doing my Spell Fixes and Improvements and just need simple directions to speed things up a little.
Hey Andy. I don't know about the give item command. Never used it. First put the Get Your Skull On folder in the override folder. Then just open up the toolset. Open up a module in the toolset. Make a cloth helmet and then select appearance #62 (for example). Save the module. Next, import a character into that module and pick up the helmet. Save the character. I don't know how to give items to a character that's already in the middle of a game. Never done it. So let me know if you figure out the give item command for this.
Komuro, not related to this topic but there havn't been any posts in the related topic for some time and I need to ask you a question about the "Get Your Skull On" mod. You say "they are selectable as Cloth Helmets #-#" but I have no idea how to get them into the game, I wish to use the giveitem command but what are the tags for these items?
If anyone else knows how to find out, or knows what the tags are, please post a reply.
To make a good looking Red Dragon Disciple, you'll need the very useful GFF editor found on this website. The GFF editor will enable you to put the correct wings on your character and change your charater's skin to the correct color. It's possible to make Dragon Disciples of any color with the toolset. You could probably then make it into a PC using some other tools on this website that can change Companions and NPCs into PCs. I haven't tried it yet though.
ok i see, well i have added the wings to my red dragon disciple already.i just wondering what wings fit that the best since i didnt play one in Neverwinter nigths or ad&d.
Hey Ankhalas! If you do an Asian inspired persistent world where I can play Oni with my Orc Spoiled heads, you'll definitely find me playing there ;) Sounds cool! Hmm, my Oni is going to need a big ass Tachi....
but this doesn't replace what I think we need most-
A generic Dragon Disciple class, where you select the type of dragon (as a feat) and all your abilities are based on that choice! _________________________ __________________________________________________
Megadeth has a very intelligent way of talking about governments and religions: Either they bullshit you or try to kill you for not being one of them. I wholeheartedly agree.

Hi Reeron! Ooo, I like the sound of class modifications and improvements. Of course, you and everyone else can use this anyway you want because it's free free free ;) That's what I love about this website. No one is making any money off of this stuff. The vault is kind of like a mini-society where money has no meaning. Like a normal society its continuation is contingent upon our participation, cooperation and work. Nobody is getting any money for the work that's being posted here, and yet many (like myself over the past month) have worked harder to produce some of the content you'll find here than they work at their real jobs.... Sorry, I'm going off on a rant here. Sure, you can use it ;)
