Remles' Gender Impartial Flirting Mod Readme
*********************************************
Update:
- Finally got around to playing Neverwinter again. Fiddled around with the game a bit and hit a road block. Unless I learn how to change in game dialogues, I can't go passed beta.
- currently known to work for Act I of both OC and MotB
Why does this mod do?
---------------------
This mod (hopefully) eliminates the gender bias for flirting. i.e. Males can flirt with males,
females can flirt with females.
Why make this mod?
------------------
This mod was created in hopes of creating more options for romance in Neverwinter Nights 2. It
increases the romances option to 2 (at least, it should). I am slowly working towards making all
the characters in NWN 2 capable of romance with the main character. If anything, this mod is hilarious.
What version is this mod?
-------------------------
V1.00 beta
What is included?
-----------------
- files to place in the NWN2 Override folder
- Readme.txt
Installation
------------
Drag everything from the RGIF mod Override folder in your Neverwinter Nights 2\Override folder.
Changes
-------
RGIF v1.00 alpha to v1.00 beta
- removed all unneeded files (reduced its size by 50%!)
Original to RGIF v1.00 alpha
- removed some gender checks for flirting (but not other conversations)
- added "Lady's Man" background trait for females and "Flirt" for males (too lazy to change the names)
- altered some files to pass gender checks for conversations (depending on how things are coded, might not pass all of them)
Known Bugs
----------
- Your gender will depend on who you're talking to and/or dialogue choices; it is variable
- though I have yet to encounter stability problems, there are some user who have reported occassional crashing of NWN 2
Notes
-----
- not yet fully tested; only known to work for Act I for both OC and the MotB
- I've hit a road block; It seems only gender (and influence) matters when flirting with NPC's currently, so I have to now figure out how to modify dialogue directly in both OC and MotB
- this is a 'quick-fix' solution until I can find time to make major changes to the game

Ok... been using this for a while -slowly- working my way through the game. ----SPOILER-ISH---- Found perhaps the only game-breaking bug with it! I'm pretty sure it was caused by this. But in Act III, after blowing up some bridges, there is meant to be a cutscene with your romancing character atop the walls of the keep. My male human cleric of kelemvor is kind of romancing Casavir, but Elanee spoke to him after the battle was over. When it cut to the scene atop the wall, the first line of -CASAVIRS- dialogue began even though I was there with Elanee. Then the cut scene abruptly ended, leaving me stranded on top of the wall with a silent Elanee. The weirdest thing however, looking at the chat text, the line of Casavir's dialogue I had heard was apparently spoken by Mordenkainen's Sword!! Absolutely bizarre.

Awesome job, I always wanted a few more options.... Elanee really didn't seem too... Interested. I really liked the Elanee romance idea, because it was a little like the BG2 Aerie romance. But it really left me wanting more. Thankyou for this mod!! _________________________

I'm posting only an 8.75 because it doesnt have the bugs worked out yet. Great idea though! There are a lot of us who are either straight and want to play a gay/bi character or we're gay/bi and want to play the sexuality we're comfortable with. ....... Dark read his previous post, he'll get to it when things settle down for him, probably after next week......even then it'll take a bit for him to do further debugging. _________________________ One persons religion is another's myth.

hmm , all i n3eeded to do for this to happen was use the complete crafting system. I was up to the trial before i realized my character was having gender issues. Daeghun called one of male characters daughter too, until I figured out the problem. It was kind of funny. when this is farther than alpha I may run through with it.

The Dark One: I do not know the answers to the other questions is what I meant.

Sorry. I've been very busy with work lately and will not likely be able to have much free time until next week, so I'll begin my testing again once I everything settles down. Thanks for the comments. I'll keep hacking away at the mod in the little bit of free time I have. The Dark One: The first time you can flirt is with Amie, after asking about her parents. I do not know about the others as I have not that far into the game. However, you probably cannot sleep with Elanee.
