Does anyone have a tutorial somewhere for creating an animated placeable? I'm interested in either creating/skinning my own 3D objects and placing them into NWN2, or modifying what is currently in the toolset. I have some decent 3D skills.

Tnis is fantastic idea and a great contribution. Would it be possible to do a version with no boulder at all though, so we could try to work with the existing ballistic vfxs (and we wouldn't see the boulder snap back to the catapult ;) )? That would be much appreciated. And a faster moving catapult arm would be nice, but I could probably live with the way its done now if its not possible. Thanks!

A couple other suggestions: Perhaps make a couple different models for the boulder: One on fire and the regular stone...perhaps a few farm animals and maybe a corpse pile for those realistic seiges.

It's a good start, but needs two changes:
A) The projectile and arm both move way too slow. The projectile is thrown by the arm's snapping motion against that crossbeam, right now it looks like it's in slow motion.
B) The projectile appears to be dropping at the same rate it's moving forward. You need to stretch out the horizontal journey quite a bit, at least six or seven times.
Again, great start, and if you tweak those two things it'll be a ten for sure.

I love this and would also echo about the boulders not moving fast enough. They could also go a bit farther in my opinion.

The animation is great, I love it! The only little problem I see is how the rocks look like they are being gently pushed toward the target after the great throwing force you put behind the arm, Looks a little off.

But don't get me wrong this is amazing!!

Lovely. I love the catapult's movement althought the projectiles are a little slow (they seem floating instead of threw).

Anyway i need something like this for my mod. Congrats!
