Welcome to RWS Dark Ruins
by Robinson Workshop
The Dark Ruins tileset is a full featured tileset containing 90 tiles and 2 Meta Tiles. Intended to be a stand alone set as opposed to an extension of another set.
Meant to represent your classic confined interior spaces.
Use:
A few things to remember about this set.
The set is fairly poly intensive, this is due to numerous tiles with curved surfaces, to pull off a decent curved surface takes more polygons that a more rectilinear set. As such care should be take to not build to excessive size.
Your mileage may vary, good servers will load these areas just fine. Your own testing will be required to identify the optimum size of a given area in your mod.
If you discover bugs or anything you think need my attention please report the bugs in the comments below, or at our forums.
Dark Ruins Complete Hak pack, Includes 2das, and Round Door erf.
Extract the dark ruins Hak to your Hak directory and import the erf into the tool set.

Really cool to work with - some tiles are messed up but it was worth it to try and get around those few tiles, made for some interesting maps. _________________________ |Morbane|

The problem is that they've used inconsistent 2da files. So one hak will override another and so on and so forth. You can actually combine the 2da's by pulling apart the various haks and using a 2da editor and then repacking. Takes a little groundwork, but I've gotten it working alongside Deep Halls. Great job by the way, but I'm lowering the usual ten to 9.5 for the inconsistency.

After removing the RWS Deep Halls, and replacing the erf files and hak pak, I now have access to Dark Ruins. Is there perhaps a combo pak of Deep Chasms, Halls & Dark Ruins? Or a way to Add all 3?
On another note, great work, beautiful tilesets...keep it up! Might I suggest some classical tilesets for your next project. Maybe something based on a Greco-Roman style for those who are building a classical adventure look.
Erik.

There is no erf file in the dark_ruins.rar file. Instructions on this site state:
-Dark Ruins Complete Hak pack, Includes 2das, and Round Door erf. Extract the dark ruins Hak to your Hak directory and import the erf into the tool set.-
I added the Hak file to my doc/nwn2/hak folder, imported it into my module properties hak paks and there are no new tilesets, is it possible that it is in conflict with your "RWS Deep Halls" ??? I have a dwarven tileset there....
Erik.

Figured it all out - but the erf is still missing from the latest update from no less than a week ago :( so the doors do not work yet - please check your rars - I am sure there is no erf in any of them. _________________________ It is better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Any updates? I am making a cool area with them, but I am running into those mesh issues as well with the doors. _________________________ Talernon3 - Age of Dragons Link

The tile I consider missing is 2 walls at right angles to meet Wall_Pit_2 (or Wall_Pit no walk) and the bridge end either with door or two corners.
However, there are other strangenesses with this tileset as follows.
1) 2_corners_pit produces a no walk area across the pillars when abutting open tiles. This tile also flickers in and out of visibilty in-game.
2) 1_wall_1_corner pit doesn't appear to have a properly formed corner in-game.
3) 1_wall_pit appears to have faults in the pillar variants, being black artifacts from the model.
4) 2_walls_pit adjoined to itself makes the walls walkable.
5) Strange behaviour no.1. Clicking between floor_2_corners and floor_3_corners in the toolset doesn't produce a change in tile unless another tile is clicked between. It is easy to assume that one or other of these tiles is not there.
6) Stranger still: cliff metatile. In game: my PC is fixated on the middle door, receiving the search one liner "there's something behind this door." The walkmesh on this tile does not make for an easy passage.
I think there maybe other peculiarities with this tileset, for instance some door problem when they're abutted and the rolling doors flicker like mad on my sysytem, but since I've moved on, I can't bring their exact nature to mind.

Although terribly useful, this set I find the most problematic of the RWS Hakpaks, not only because 'missing' tiles mean the ways of construction are limited, but also because of walkmesh problems. No-walk areas when certain tiles are joined, and walkthrough walls when some walls are back to back.
