Niashu's and Night_wolf's animal companions and familars updated to work for Storm of Zehir. Niashu made a werewolf, mastiff, leopard, dire rat, and mongoose for animal companions, and made a fire elemental, earth elemental, dragon, sylph, and blade spider for familiars.
Night_wolf made a winter wolf, and another bigger wolf. Full credit goes to them for making the companions, i just edited the 2da and made them work for epic levels :).
I also added some custom animal companions myself. As of version 2 there is a dire wolf, a dire bear, and 6 different horses (black horse, white horse, brown horse, pinto horse, palomino horse, and skeletal horse).

Thanks to hahntsak for giving me the idea with his MotB updates!

I don't see how this is worth a 9.
It's a fairly sloppy package.
There is literally NO information in the readme on what bonuses you get for having these. You basically have to take one and hope for the best.
Worse, the coding is off.
If you take Sylph, you get Able Learner. Which is nice. Except it only works if you level up while the Familiar is summoned. Otherwise it's just crap.
And if you already have Able Learner (like I did, because I didn't know Sylph gave it at first), then taking Sylph will give it a second time, and when Sylph leaves, BOTH are removed, stripping away a feat.
Spell Penetration also comes and goes, and shows up as optional most of the time when taking new feats, despite having it and GSP.
All in all, this needed a lot of work before it was ever released. I know this author isn't the original designer, but the links provided only go to Animal Companion mods, nothing about familiars.
Hello! I have a question connected to that nice thing! Is it possible to install that and make it working only with MotB?
Sincerely
Opiekun

For me, the problems are two-fold. One, the skeletal horse and the palamino horse are reversed, that is, the names are switched. Second, the homunculus wings are not showing up. Is the weasel supposed to be white? Mine is. I think it's the mongoose but it says weasel. Other than that, this is a very good mod and thanks for putting it together.
Perhaps as your next project you could make the animal familiars also animal companions? And vice versa? That's be sweet.
I guess I will give up on this mod, it is pointless if it's not compatible with the toolset. Anyway, I find out that it is the high level UTC files that is causing the problem.
Sorry about the long response time...I took a break from neverwinter nights for a while to deal with some personal issues.
That's strange. My toolset works just fine with the mod installed (nwn2/motb/soz patch 1.22). When making the animal companions / familiars I made by copying the global blueprints made by Obsidian and changing their appearance and stats. Maybe that has something to do with it? I'm looking at the .UTC files now to see if i can fix the problem.
I couldn't get the large wolf or white wolf to appear. Everything else I tested worked, but I didn't test them all. I used Vordan's Hero Creator (SoZ version) and Trial and Terror (also SoZ compatable). _________________________ Been a long day. I could use a drink.
This mod is great, but I am having the same issue as wirednet. NWN2, MotB and SoZ installed and patched to 1.22. Toolset crashes when launched. Other than this, mod works as expected. _________________________ - Grimmwor

I've got NWN2, MotB, and SOZ installed, and the latest patch.
This mod causes my toolset to crash when loading global blueprints.
I've narrowed it down to something in this folder specifically; all the rest of my override folder contents still load just fine.
Update? Suggestion?
