NWN2 ORIGINAL HAKPAKS

Name  Sigil Exterior (CODI content from NWN1)
Author  Alexariel
Submitted / Updated  01-18-2010 / 01-18-2010
Category  Placeables
Patch  1.23
NWN2Game  NWN2:MotB
Description
This is an independent conversion of the CODI group's Sigil exterior tileset. Each of the original tiles have been carefully converted into a building Placeable. The marvelous modeling and texturing has been preserved while normal maps, hookpoints for doors, and walkmeshes have been added.

Many of the buildings dont have modeling on all four sides due to the original models being designed as a tileset. With a bit of overlapping and use of some filler buildings its fairly easy to cover up the empty spots (see the demo module for an example)

I have been among the many admirers of the CODIs amazing creations since the first few screenshots when it was still under construction. This conversion has been something Ive been tinkering with for some time and would like to make available for other module builders to use.

Thanks RWS for checking this content set to help ensure its all in working order. Please keep in mind this is my first submission so there may be some wrinkles to iron out as more people use the content. I will do my best to fix and update it as necessary.

---------------------------------
Converted Content:
---------------------------------

26 building placeables (non-tintable)
6 "filler" building placeables (lower poly, non-tintable)
19 exterior doors (tintable)
13 terrain textures
1 fountain (non-tintable)
1 group of rusty pipes (non-tintable)

---------------------------------
Download Options:
---------------------------------

HAK for modules, includes one hak with models and textures, and one with 2DAs

Override for builders, includes placeable textures, models and 2DAs in a folder

Terrain for builders, includes terrain textures and 2da for Override folder, terrain thumbnails, and area DayNightStage

Demo a sample module (requires HAK files to view; Overrride & Terrain files to edit)

* terrain has been separated from the Override download for size reasons. The HAK however does contain terrain info, so module builders using the terrain textures can use the HAK for their module so the players wont need the terrain Override.

---------------------------------

The Demo is from an area in a Planescape campaign Im working on. It has been included as an example of the buildings in use; all the creatures, items and encounters have been removed to prevent spoiling anything ;)

NOTE: The Razorvine models are not from the original CODI content set. Ive included them because they were initially created to be used in conjunction with this content set and have since been released as part of the RDS Purgatorio content here.

Only eleven votes, so far, I can't believe it!

Not easily installed, but it's brilliant.

A fine hak, the quality of these old models is still amazing, and some buildings work excellent in a mix with Tupoun's City hak models too.
Installation could've been a bit easier, an erf with blueprints would've been welcome indeed, but great work nevertheless!

Fantastic hakpak. These building look gorgeous. I'm however having a problem with the minaret placeable not working?

Absolutely amazing conversion. Once I get all the files in the propper position i'll try and make a prefab area set. Are the interiours also somewhere? Or are these too tricky to do?

Really, really nice work and a much needed addition to the Planescape content on the vault.

Fantastic conversion work, and a testament to CODIs art skills

Thanks so much for converting these to placeables and making the terrain textures to round out the package

This looks really nice, great work! And great that you included a little area, good way to get an overview on how the stuff can actually look in the game. Thanks for that.

Between this, the RWS interior tileset and all the custom stuff in Purgatorio, I think we can really create a hella cool Sigil. I've been tempted for a long time to do something small, in which case I'll definitely make use of this.

Thanks for the upload!

High quality work which aught to please the folks that thought RWS didnt finish the job with our conversion of the interior tileset. A lot of work went into this...well done.
