"The secret we should never let the gamemasters know is that they don't need any rules." - Gary Gygax
Version 0.75 (2012.12.15@18:50UTC) / Page Update: (2012.12.15)
Cyphre's PrC Pack "The Circle Of The Great Oak" includes the following PrCs for Neverwinter Nights 2:
Custom Classes: Arcane Warrior - NEW v0.75 PrC
Archdruid
Black Raven Initiate
Chosen of Silvanus
Divine Thaumaturge
Divine Theurge
Frost Witch
Hierophant of the Cabal
Spirit Shogun
Stormcrow
Swift Mage - NEW v0.75 PrC
Sylvan Sage - NEW v0.75 PrC
Sylvan Seer
Sylvan Shadow Archer
Therianthrope - NEW v0.75 PrC
Warden
Original Classes: Harper Mage (Magic of Faerûn PrC)
Harper Priest (Magic of Faerûn PrC)
Hierophant (Dungeon Master's Guide PrC)
Mage-Killer (Magic of Faerûn PrC)
Ruathar (Races of the Wild PrC)
Verdant Lord (Masters of the Wild PrC)
Most of my PrCs rely on content of Kaedrin's PrC Pack v1.42.1, so you should install his pack first, if you haven't already done so.
***
With some exceptions, my custom classes are "based" on original (D&D 2.0E-4.0E & AD&D) source material and templates, though not on original D&D classes!!!
The original classes are "based" on D&D classes from different source books, but I took the freedom to modify certain aspects that I'm unable to recreate in NWN2.
In doing this, I took great care to stay as close as possible to the source material OR at least chose prerequisites, skills, abilities and feats, that made (in my opinion) the most sense.
Just one example:
"Create Infusion" is an ability of the Verdant Lord PrC
- The verdant lord may store a divine spell within a specially prepared herb. You create an infusion of any divine spell available to you.
My NWN2 translation:
"Brew Potion"
- You can create a potion of any beneficial, single-target spell of 3rd level or less that you know.
Well, of course one might argue about the choices that I made, so feel free to comment, but keep in mind that it's impossible to please everybody.
You'll find the biggest "changes", that I made documented in a .txt file in each class-folder.
***
A special note on "Spell Power" and the "Practiced Spellcaster" bug:
Contrary to the description, the extent of the Practiced Spellcaster feat is not capped by the character's hit dice, but by the number of levels in additional classes.
Normally, the use of this feat operates as described. However, if used in conjunction with a prestige class that grants additional spellcaster levels, this feat STILL grants up to +4 caster levels and does not cap at the character's HD as it should.
This always bothered me, so along with my PrCs, I created 6 "fake" Spell Power feats (Spell Power 1-4 (+1 CL each) and Epic Spell Power 1-2 (+2 CL each)).
These feats won't grant you anything, but if you like to have a "legal" character with more CLs (except the RW) then now you can have it.
Example:
A Druid 25 / Hierophant 5 with the "Practiced Spellcaster" feat would have a CL of 34, which is not legal IF he didn't take any Spell Power feats.
Now IF he takes my Spell Power feats (SP 1-4 or ESP 1-2 or SP 1-2 and ESP 1) then it would be a legal character.
In other words: Don't use my Spell Power feats for anything else than having a good feeling, knowing that you don't "cheat" ;) !!!
Note: Even though the "fake" Spell Power feats work like I described above, I still consider them "Under Development", because I might change their prerequisites and/or behaviour (for example making special versions of them for each spellcasting class etc.).
This file is the single player version of release 0.69 which will work with the Official Campaign, Mask of the Betrayer, and Storm of Zehir. This *requires* MotB and SoZ.
This file is an update for v0.69 (v0.69 has to be installed). Included are 10 new PrCs (the Arcane Warrior, the Divine Thaumaturge, the Spirit Shogun, the Stormcrow, the Swift Mage, the Sylvan Sage, the Sylvan Seer, the Sylvan Shadow Archer, the Therianthrope and the Warden), many new class icons, a few edits and fixes and a changelog.
Installation: Unzip in the override folder and copy/paste the included .tlk as written in my "Installation Guide".
An Extension Pack for my PrC-Pack, that changes the clothing and armors, that my PrCs wear. This pack is just some kind of "beautification" extension and not necessary for the main PrC-Pack to work.
The pack is intended for players of human female characters, only. Some armor/cloth choices may(!) not work with other female/male characters.
Installation: Just unzip the "Prefab Extension Pack" in the override folder.
UPDATED to work with v0.75 (you have to install the v0.75 update first!) - Added: 2012.12.15@18:50UTC.
It's nice to see old faces still around. Some interesting classes you have here. On your practiced caster/spell power feats, you could do something like I did for the warlock. Look in sv_inc_spells of my pack if you're interested.
And if you'd like to break away from relying on Kaedrin's pack, especially if he's no longer updating or including source code, you can PM me on the social site as Surango. _________________________ Mastery is the final form of madness.

Nevermind. All existing Kaedrin's PrC can still be downloaded. My mistake

I see, the required Kaedrin's PrC Pack can no longer be downloaded... That means this mod will die along with it? :c

Oh you are? Any chance you'd bring this to BG:EE too? :-) I know modding BG:EE do things differently; but I'm sure if you could come up with this, you can figure out modding BG:EE too.
For now the things are a little slowed down; but I've fixed an error with a script and I should have done the part of my class regarding the classes.2da and the most important feats in the feats.2da. Right now I'm populating the cls_feat_aw.2da, which will have most feats of it's from the Fighter and the Wizard and some from the Weapon Master without giving to the player too many bonus feats; so that one must choose between being a more fighter-like Arcane Warrior or a more wizard-like one, or even a little Jack of all trades, also if I can I will make 3 additional feats and the player will be rewarded with 1 of those if he/she can achieve all the feats needed for one of this paths to be completed: e.g. the Jack of all trades path will get a less powerful feats but a little more varied in the bonus effects..
Furthermore this class will have an animal companion (because I like too much your companions pack) :) but since I'm making this class compatible with this merger: neverwinter.nexusmods.com/mods/115
I need to do some extra work to make your PrC classes compatible with everything (the major problem is within the classes.2da; this merger has other classes in the positions you have chosen for your PrCs)

I have my hands full on BG:EE for now, but will definitely bookmark this. Those classes look very very awesome. Thanks for this! If only this was released a few months earlier.;p
thanks for the implementation of this class and the citation in the readme :)
I'm totally ok with what you have done, particularly with Arcane Touch, and that's the best one can achieve without any custom scripts and implementation.. but I've got some free time now and then and so I've made 4 custom scripts for Arcane Accuracy, Arcane Damage, Arcane Resistance and Arcane Defense, the only things remained to do are the feat.2da, the classes.2da, the specific things for the class, the dialog.tlk and testing all that in-game...
if you allow me, I will take your work for the AW as base, but I think I'll make the Arcane Warrior a base class. If you want you can see my scripts here: 1) pastebin.com/r0ugtYjv 2) pastebin.com/BDU5DZQ8 3) pastebin.com/0pC55935 4) pastebin.com/Yaf7rNgR
I tried out several things over the weekend and so far I prefer the following solution..
The Arcane Warrior is a fighter and a spellcaster, enchanting herself and her weapon then facing her enemies directly in battle. Even though the Arcane Warrior usually has a great variety of spells at her disposal, she uses most of her spells to directly affect only a touched item or its bearer. Additionally she is able to cast her spells even while wearing full armor and bearing a shield.
Requirements:
-BAB: +5
-Class: Sorcerer or Wizard.
-Feats: Armor Proficiency (Light, Medium and Heavy), Shield Proficiency, Still Spell.
-Skills: Spellcraft 2 ranks.
-Spells: Magic Weapon
-Spellcasting: Able to cast arcane spells of 1st level.
* Arcane Touch: Any arcane spells that the Arcane Warrior can cast, ignore arcane spell failure stemming from wearing armor. At 1st level this ability is restricted to spell levels 0-3, at 5th level this ability is restricted to spell levels 0-6 and at 10th level this ability is restricted to spell levels 0-9.
* Arcane Accuracy: An Arcane Warrior's magic is at times completely indistinguishable from her skill with weapons. She receives a +1 insight bonus to her attack bonus at level 4, and 8.
* Arcane Damage: An Arcane Warrior's magic is at times completely indistinguishable from her skill with weapons. At level 2 she gains a +2 magic damage bonus with her attacks.
* Arcane Resistance: An Arcane Warrior's magic is at times completely indistinguishable from her skill with weapons. She receives a +1 insight bonus to all her saving throws at level 3, 6 and 9.
* Arcane Defense: An Arcane Warrior's magic is at times completely indistinguishable from her skill with weapons. The Arcane Warrior gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC at level 7.
- Arcane Spellcasting Progression: 6/10
- Arcane Touch->Automatic Still Spell 0-3, Automatic Still Spell 0-6, Automatic Still Spell 0-9
If, you will make it, I think that the Arcane Weapon Master, should be renamed, to something similar.. like Arcane Warrior, while still mantaining the true names for its feats.
even if I know some scripting languages unfortunately I do not know, specifically, the NWN2 scripting language and generally I don't have even the time required to learn the "scripting way" for making proper scripts for custom features and test them.. so, I think it could be an arcane caster with an high BAB and with feats taken from the paladin and the weapon master,
while still maintaining its proficiencies in weapons, armor and shields; for example, instead of Arcane Resistance as it is, it could get Divine Grace (from the Paladin) and instead of Arcane Damage it could get Increased Multiplier (from the Weapon Master), instead of Arcane Accuracy, Ki Critical (from WM), instead of Arcane Touch, Battle Caster and instead of Arcane Defense something to do with the AC; like the Deathless Mastery (from the Pale Master) or the Bone Skin (always from the PM) or even the Canny Defense (from the Duelist)..
in this way it will get a "lesser" amount of bonuses, but all of them permanent, so things should remain quite balanced (of course this can only be consider if, in some way, is possible to avoid the prerequisites for this feats).. plus one could even consider using some custom feats from Kaedrin...
thanks for downloading - hope you'll enjoy the pack :) !!!
About the "Arcane Weapon Master".. well, I'll gladly do user requests in general, but there are certain limits of what I can do feature-wise as I'm not able to script. Sadly, the "Arcane Weapon Master" has several features, which I couldn't replicate, but if you want we could discuss about how to make a class that comes "close" to what the "Arcane Weapon Master" offers.. a custom spellbook would be out of the question though (for the reason I already mentioned).. so what remains would be something similar to my Spirit Shogun I guess - but for arcane casters.. Perhaps a 20-level PrC featuring something between 10-16 levels of Spellcasting Progression, medium or high BAB and some goodies like "Weapon Specialization" and "Greater Weapon Focus"?.. feel free to throw in some ideas.. :) !!! _________________________ Cyphre's Companions Pack v0.75.2 | Cyphre's Dual-Wieldable Flails & Heavy Flails v1.2 | Cyphre's PrC Pack v0.75 | Cyphre's Remove Annoying Effects Extension (Tortoise Shell) v1.0
for some reason it don't not allow me to add an h-t-t-p link.. so, for make it work, I've changed it to hWWp, and now the "Link" there is not working... then, please, just use this: dandwiki.com/wiki/Arcane_Weapon_Master_%283.5e_Prestige_Class%29
nice work, I'll try this out as soon as I'll have the time to get back playing to NWN2. Can I ask you if you are considering to implement user requested classes, like the Arcane Weapon Master (I know it's not exactly a nature class..)? you can see it here: Link
I think it will make a nice addition to the other classes you and Kaedrin already added to the game.
