This 2DA override changes some of the skin/eye/hair color options available to half elves at character creation. The most significant change is skin/eye colors for half-drow, but there is also hair colors for half moon elves, and skin colors for half wood and sun elves.
To use this, place the file 'color_halfelf.2da' in your \My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\override\ folder and play away.

First, I'm sorry this is a long post.
Second, for any that are interested, this is an easy mod to do yourself (provided you have the right tools) first, you can find and extract the color_(race name here).2da files using the NWN2 toolset (under view->2das I think). These files can be read with a simple text editor like notepad. Inside be sure to pay attention to the column heading (the spacing doesn't line up so be mindful) Lastly, the colours are listed as hexidecimal (letters and numbers together basically) A good graphic program like photoshop likely will have a colour selection section where you can see/modify colours using hexidecimal values (sorry, mspaint doesn't qualify) and the web likely has many sites that can let you determine a colours hex value as well. Just find the one you want, change it in the 2da, and drop the 2da into your override folder. (It make some trial and error to find the exact colours you want)
I also don't doubt a more detailed tutorial exists for this somewhere, but I still feel like sharing this info.
Also, despite its simplicity, I give this mod a solid 6.5 as it is something that the community should be aware of. (both for itself and as an example of what others might do/learn from it)

I agree -- while there are 18 color choices per category, many of them are so close to each other that there is barely any noticeable difference between each choice. Let me know what you think of the choices I included!
I'll have to check them out. :) All the palettes need expanding I think. I know I found the tiny number of skin and hair choices very very limiting when I set up my half elf.
