*Stand Alone Version Updated to 1.12*
The new appearance.2da should solve your problems. Sorry for the lack of updates and thank you for Hall of Fame.
*Updated to 1.05*
I reworked some female heads for human, aasimar, elf (including drows), half-elf and tiefling.
No modelling was involved, this is a normal map (texture) rework.
I used the female human head n°4, the female elf heads n°2 and 4, and the tiefling head n°1.
These heads are not overwriting the old ones. They are addons.
Content :
---------
I made :
- from my previous human/aasimar release => 1 head plus 2 tattooed versions
- for elves => 2 heads for moon, sun and wood elves plus for each one a tattooed version
There are a stand alone version and an "Heads for all" mod compatible version.
Addon n°1 content:
--------------
The rework of the tiefling head n°1 is available for half elves too. Each version got as usual, an optional tattoo.
Since people wanted heads for drows, I made the elf head n°2 and the tiefling head n°1 available for them. Same here, an optional tattoo is available for each one.
There are a stand alone version and an "Heads for all" mod compatible version.
1.05 appearance.2DA
--------------------
Download and use this new 2DA. The old rared appearance.2DA is NOT compatible with 1.05.
After installing the mod, just overwrite the old 2DA with the new one.
Installation :
--------------
- Stand alone version
Just drop the files (.dds & .mdb) in your override directory.
Don't forget the "appearance.2da" file. You must put it too in your override folder.
This appearance.2da file is NOT compatible with the "Heads for all" mod.
If you want to use these heads with the "Heads of all" mod, you have to use instead the following version :
- Addon n°1 for the stand alone version
drop everything in your override folder and don't forget to overwrite your appearance.2DA. Yes, you HAVE TO USE THE NEW APPEARANCE.2DA. The old one is NOT compatible with drow and tiefling (don't remember about half elves).
- "Heads for all" compatible version
Step 1 : you MUST have the "heads for all" mod installed. You can download it there : Link Step 2 : drop the files (.dds & .mdb) where you putted the "heads for all" ones.
- Addon n°1 for the "heads for all" mod
Step 1 : you MUST have the "heads for all" mod installed. You can download it there : Link Step 2 : drop the files (.dds & .mdb) where you putted the "heads for all" ones.
Custom install :
----------------
You may want only install the heads you like and not pollute your hard disk with a bunch of file. So here is the "how to do" :
First you have to know that every head is a set of 4 files like this one :
- P_??F_head??.dds
- P_??F_head??.mdb
- P_??F_head??_n.dds
- P_??F_head??_t.dds
If you want to play with a particular head, just copy these four files to your override directory (don't forget the appearance.2da for all non human's heads).
How to recognize the good files ? Here are the full lists :

To do
------
At least I'll make a complete pack. In meantime I might try to do something for poor males half elves. May be I will make the tiefling head n°1 available for all elves and elf heads n°2 and 4 for the half elves. No deadline since I'm currently working on something else.
Usage restrictions

- none as long as you don't charge money.

I know it is unlikely that anyone will be able to answer this, but in case someone can, could somebody tell me how I could get the half elf heads working? I was very sad when I realized they didn't work, since I pretty much downloaded them solely to use those.
Anyways hopefully someone can get back to me. Thanks.

awsome,are they 1.23 patch friendly?

Sorry, for bothering. I just figured out, how to correct it. I very much like these heads, as I never really liked the drow heads that came with the came. Very nice work!

Hmm, I managed to get them run with SOZ by updating the 2da-file. Still some other problem. I try to get the drow head combined with Chimneyfish's Iconic Female Outfits, wich -I assume- takes the skin colour that was chosen when creating the character. This skin colour does not seem to be the same skin colour as the one of the head. How can I change that? Any ideas? With the original heads everything works fine.
Love it, but I can't use it since I have MOTB installed. It's a shame because this is a great headpack.

I gotta say, I am quite disappointed. Yes, these are improvements on the original portraits, but that appearance.2da just messes up too much to be tolerated.
I dropped it in my documents/override dir. I assume that is the one you mean since you don't specify otherwise. And suddenly a lot of races and NPCs are invisible. For example, I cannot see the genasi chars, the yaun-ti or the half drow chars and possibly more in character creation. They are invisible. A dragon NPC disappears except for the tail, and probably others just completely disappear.
Really? 9 Stars?
Maybe this is because I am playing an updated version with both expansions installed... I just don't know -.-
Anyway, I vote 3 for pretty but practically unusable.

I would really love to use this one, since most female heads look bloody awful!
But having motb and soz installed seems to be causing many bugs.. like some races dissapear etc
Awesome work, unfortunately I have to give up on it as it provoques quite a number of bugs and crashes. Hoping for an update and reserving my vote.

This is really confusing. You need to get rid of that appearance.2da file like they said. I don't understand your instructions either. What is the point of having a file version if you are going to talk about 5 different versions in your description? please update. ;-(
These look fantastic, but I'd like to echo the request for not using .2da's. _________________________ The Obsidian Shore Link

This head pack is great and I would hate to see it go to waste. You should ditch the appearance.2da altogether and use GR2(skeleton) files instead.
To find the GR2 files on your computer go to C:\Program Files\Atari\Neverwinter Nights 2\Data and look for the folders labeled lod-merged. Inside the folder look for the skeleton files for whichever race's head you want to use.
For example: You made a female elf head you want share with everybody. The Model is called P_EEF_Head70. You need a skeleton file that goes with it. Search for a file called P_EEF_skel01.GR2 and rename it to P_EEF_skel70.GR2. Include the skeleton file with your hackpack and evrything should work correctly. You can also look at my Enchanted Eyes pack for an example.

I would love to use these heads! They look spectacular!
However, (and this is the Biggie) It isn't compatible with MOTB.
Second, even when I try to use them with just the OC installed, some of them look all 'horror movie disfigured' for lack of a better term, and for some reason the Plane touched races 'dissapear' at character creation. As in, I select them, but there is no one 'standing' in the character creation screen. Also the wood elf goes missing in this manner also.
I would say from what I *have* seen that this is great work. From looking longingly at the screen shots, which also look great, I really wish it worked the way it was supposed to.
I really wish (and so do a lot of others) that it was compatible with MOTB.
It is good work, and I am more than willing to give it high marks on my vote, but do not feel comfortable doing so until it is fixed. No sense in dragging such lovely work through the mud because of a bug issue, that as far as I can tell, should be fixable, if someone had the time... _________________________ Stupidity kills people.

I for one have stopped playing NWN2 (with MoTB) altogether because this hak is not compatible with MoTB. COULD SOMEONE UPDATE THIS HAK FOR MoTB!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
I tried to download these as they looked very good;unfortunately, when I tried to use them with my half elf character, all heads appeared like they got into a splatter-movie (and a bad one, too).
I also used the modified appearance file posted here in comments, since I can't download the original one (it opens as document instead of actually downloading it...sigh)
I hated the way the original drow heads looked... and many of the other original elf heads.
The severe slant of their eyes made them look like BUGS.

Great work! The heads ALL look great! And it's the very first time in the history of nwn/nwn2 I can say it about a heads pack (including bioware/obsidian original ones!)
Now only two questions: 1. does it override original game heads?
and 2. can players who do not have the hak see the different heads on multiplayer servers? (guessing the answer is "no"...)
Your appearance.2da works for me as well Stormrazor2000. Though I wasn't too sure about the half elf heads at first as those weren't coming out right.

hm... installed LCountach's "Sexy OC MOTB Addon" and managed to "make" some heads to work... sadly some of the best looking heads (the aasimar and some elf ones) are "corruped" in game and can't be used... :( _________________________ "Dust to dust"

Love this module and was very, very sad to remove it because of MotB (one of aasimar heads is simply gorgeous)... I'd like to know how to make it compatible with MotB. _________________________ "Dust to dust"
