This mod introduces 5 new animal companions that can be chosen at Character Generation.
Dire Rat - A disease carrying menace that will infect your foes
Leopard - A very quick moving cat that can move silently as well.
Shadow Mastiff - A creature of shadow that will gain invisibility and a howl to inspire fear in your foes.
Giant Mongoose - a very nimble creature that SHOULD help you in finding traps
Werewolf - a young werewolf that can knockdown your foes and has a minor damage resistence except for silver.
Feel free to distribute this mod or alter it anyway.
Installation:
Place the entire Animal Companions folder into your Neverwinter Nights 2/Override folder.
Will not be compatible with other mods that change the hen_companion.2da file.
I fixed it to work with current patch and will upload it if I can figure out how. I tested it. the leopard looks like a big cat and the mongoose reads weasel in the game [bigger than the weasel familiar though]. werewolf is cool. the mastiff is okay. dire rat looks like rat familiar but bigger.
How does one make this compatible with the current patch?

I really like these it's nice... But as with the familiars the new patch added a column AvailableToPlayer... Have to add 1's to the end of each of the rows (including the padding)

Much of a good pack. But I'd prefer more interesting skilss between the animals, for more interesting gameplay.
Looked like fun to have a werewolf running around with me, so I tried it out. latest Nwn2 update and all, tried druid(since previous people said it worked), and I get no animal choices at all. whats wrong? is it the 1.05 patch?

I would really like to see an owl companion. I mean REALLY want to see one! Let me know if this is possible! _________________________ NWN2 Voting Standards - Tattoo it on your forehead.

Well, I love it but it has a major flaw. Same problem I am having with the familiars. It works with the druids & clerics, but not with the ranger. It strips him of all pets.
The familiars works great with the sorc. but not with the wizard. It strips the wizards of familiars.
Next question how do I correct this, or is it an update issue? Got to tell you its really nice though. I wish you could tie it to the improve familiar feat as it is in DND, but hey I love my little werewolf.
Blaz
I made a small pack for familiar down a few pages. It had a small fire elemental and earth elemental. It also has a sylph and a tiny dragon. I will probably be making additional packs here shortly for both familiars and companions.

seems like a nice idea. Out of curiocity could you make a similar mod for familiars? The ones already in are boring.
