hi everyone.this is my first mod^^This is the neverwintified Samurai Class from DnD Complete Warrior...At the moment some of the feats are missin(ok i havent made it yet). I wouldnt say this is the best but i tried to be as close to the CW as possible...in order to make p for the missing feats and abilities, ive added bonus feats that you can choose...
i am sorry to say that i havent updated my NWN2 so the TLK file is still that of Version 1...will update soon...
I would like to hear your comments, creative and critical feedback(as i said this is my first custom class...go easy on me)
as for more info on the Samurai
-Known for their matchless bravery and strict code of honor, the samurai were the noble warriors of feudal Japan. In a fantasy setting, the samurai brings that courage and honor to the service of a lord or other leader.Their reputation of being tenacious in combat often precedes them in battle, and their mere precense is often enough to make dishonourable enemies slink away into darkness.
- Bonus Feats(this is to make up for missing feats..i might remove it in later versions): At 1st level, a samurai gets a bonus combat-oriented feat in addition to the feat that any 1st-level character gets and the bonus feat granted to a human character. The samurai gains an additional bonus feat at 2nd level and every two samurai levels thereafter (4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, and 20th). These bonus feats must be drawn from the feats noted as samurai bonus feats. A samurai must still meet all prerequisites for a bonus feat, including ability score and base attack bonus minimums.
- Daisho Combat Style: At 2nd level, a samurai gains two-weapon combat, he is treated as having the Two-Weapon Fighting feat, even if he does not have the normal prerequisites for that feat.
- Kiai Smite: Smite Infidel
- Iaijutsu Master: Deflect Arrow
- Staredown: At 6th level, the samurai strikes fear by his mere presence. He gains +3 to Intimidate Checks.(Skill focus)
- Improved Initiative: At 8th level has practised Iaijutsu ritual battles, which enable him to anticipate any ememy attack.
- Mass Staredown: Skill Focus
- Improved Two Swords As One: At 11th level the samurai powers with wielding two swords has improved. He gains Improved Two Weapon Fighting Feat.
- Improved Staredown: NA in V.3
- Greater Two Swords As One: At 16th level the samurai powers with wielding two swords has improved. He gains Greater Two Weapon Fighting Feat.
- Frightful Presence: Aura Of Fear
Jan/22/07 : Version 0.4
Jan/24/07 : Version 0.5
Jan/28/07 : Version 0.9(PreFinal)
this is version 0.5...ive finally updated my game and this should work without any problems,i notice that the training mods seem to cause a problem in the feat lists, still trying to find out if its my mistake and if i can do smthing about it
ok this is the final...version0.9...i doubt ill be adding or changing anything....ive finished all missing feats and any problems that occur...but if you find anything pls tell me
kobold??? when exactly was this??hmmm there might be a change after all.... and i finally realised that this samurai class is like the merger of both the CW samurai and the other samurai released by DnD....well if there is a change due to the update, ill release an updated version soon...

What's the use of katana's when there isn't a samurai to wield it? Seemed pretty pointless to me. This class fixed that!
@ravenloft0079
yes the .2da files have to be in the override folder place the .tlk file in mydocuments/Nwn2...there might me a clash with other mods, like when i run custom modules, i cant see the price of the items in the shops...i do not see any problems with ver 1.04...i dont think they changed anything...other then the feats for spellcasters....so have fun

Thanks for going out there and giving this a shot. Always like to see new classes. Dont be discouraged by the PRC either. Someone like myself might just want only a samurai class :) _________________________ NWN2 Voting Standards - Tattoo it on your forehead.

wannablessedbe: The PRC is the Player Resource Consortium, one of the largest mod groups for NWN and NWN2, and one that has, to date, published 126 new classes, among other things. What LesserHellspawn was saying is that we're in the middle of moving to NWN2, and will be releasing at least a test shortly. However, it is good to see others than ourselves work on custom classes, as they were rather few in NWN. _________________________ Head of the Player Resource Consortium http://www.nwnprc.com
ok its done....ive put up the final version^^ have fun..other then the updates nothing new will be added...anyway you may now vote and comment(it might be a little late to say so^^)
ill be putting up 0.9 of The Samurai in a couple of hours...ive done custom icons, and all the missing feats have been replaced with smthing equal or just as powerful as the original...its all im gonna do for the samurai for now...
PRC (or, more accurately PrC) is the standard abbreviation for Prestige Class. What LesserHellspawn was saying is that there are plans in the works for an official version of the Samurai in a futre expansion of the game. That doesn't mean yours isn't useful though, since an official version doesn't *currently* exist. I think he was just trying to give you a heads up that yours will eventually be obsolete. (Which isn't necessarily true, as some people might prefer your version over whatever Obsidian finally comes up with).

I've seen a few people create custom classes (very impressive btw) but I haven't found any docs or instructions on how to mod a class? Is it done with the toolset? Please help me. _________________________ x
I Question the Bonusfeatures available are these the normal Bonusfeatures a fighter can choose from every two levels or did you create your own selection of available bonusfeatures?
Brt:
it could be that you have updated the game..if ouve patched your game i doubt itll be the same as i read somewhere that there is a new TLK file....if you are using Ver1.03 i appologize as i havent updated my game...stupid internet keeps getting dced in the middle of an update...ill be uploading a file for version 1.03 as soon as i can..im really sorry but i have been busy^^'

I love the fact that you can only pick a lawfull aligment just like monks but why is the character class called wall explosion? or is it maybe some other override in my gamefolder that's conflicting with yours??
Can't wait untill it is finished.
