One of my favorite stories is THE DEED OF PAKSENARION, written by Elizabeth Moon. In brief, it's about a young girl who becomes a warrior and later becomes a Paladin. One of the things talked about are the warhorses which Paladins receive from their deity.
From what I've seen and heard, it seems likely that rideable horses will be featured in the eventual NWN2 expansion. Assuming that any character will be potentially be able to ride horses, I'd like to suggest that Paladins get something special: Warhorses which are effectively Animal Companions, similar to what druids and rangers get.
These would have their own unique powers (skills/feats) and so forth. Only the Paladin who they belong to could ride them, of course.
indeed, a paladin's mount is the soul of the char, but since all the characters can ride horses, i think this way
paladins receive - Mount/rider's companion for free
the other classes must aquire that feat
much like the Dragon companion from the druid(but..not in epic levels lol)
i think that the feat Mount horse or to add a horse as an animal companion would be really nice

Yeah, the day I got Shadows of Undrentide, I started as a player in a new pen and paper campaign. Made the same paladin to play in both contexts. The paladin's mount is a *huge* part of what makes the character cool in tabletop D&D. In the computer game, he's just a fighter with too few clerical spells.
I sincerely hope that mounts and mounted combat become a serious part of the next NWN2 expansion.
