Description
I have thought that it would be really cool if you could have ridable horses... Which when you are riding might improve your stats and can move at a faster rate... But the problem is I don't have a blueprint for horses and I'm not sure how you could get on top of the horse and make it move as well... Maybe by changing th oPC? Well, I'ld really like some help or any suggestions you can think of...

Yeah, we need horses for our server!...Obsidian added to the game undead-horses models..why?

aye, could be nice to use the model that MOTB provided, should allow less work withing animation work,
i was hoping in playing a blackknight wich can ride a blackned steed
or even a rohirrim rider from LOTR
would be realy nice

As I see with NWN2 MOTB there is a horse model...now what todo? ^^'

About horses: if we get an altered PC model set with proper wing and tail slots, then this would be possible. just set the horse to the tail slot, have it animate, and be able to be taken off and the bonus to speed
(plus n%) removed, then horses would just need to:

1: be called via an extention to the DMFI UI.

2: when called, talk to them to mount

3: unpolymorph to dismount



And there could even be various types:

Nightmare: Can only be tamed by planetouched:Tiefling, or someone with the warlock or cleric classes... but in all cases, only with an evil alignment. trails flame, and surrounded by occasional agonized scream noises.

Rotting beheaded horse: Only usable by palemasters that still meet any alignment prerequisites for the palemaster class. leaves a temporary trail of maggots and blood (both of which are able to be removed by the modmaker incorperating the horses, by use of some haks over others)

Archon Horse: (planetouched:Aasimar, and/or cleric/paladin class only, requires good alignment) trails a holy light behind him.


Shadow plane horse: shadowdancers and assassins only. trails shadows.

Engineered Golemhorse (in various varieties): Requires wizard/sorcerer and/or an int score of (11 for sorc/wiz)/(14 for all others)
will often neigh metallicly if metal golem, or with a splatter sound if a flesh golem of any kind.


Think of the possibilities!

This is a tremendous amount of work, animations have to be done, and so on.

Maybe OEI some day provides us with horses ... if the community wants to do it, those talented designers certainly have to wait for the Granny exporter/importer to start that work.

Some day, horses will come, how and when ... I wouldnt place bets on it.
