So I was thinking, why can you be only a RED Dragon Disciple? And the more I pondered it, the more it annoyed me. So the idea is this: what about a modification of some kind that allowed a selection? Like, the PrC "Red Dragon disciple" becomes simply "Dragon disciple", and upon selecting to gain its first level you were taken to a second class selection screen wherein you chose whichever color you so desired? The actual changes game-wise would be limited to the breath weapon and specific damage immunity, but it opens a great window of personalization. Anyway, I know freg-all about how one would go about doing such a thing, but hopefully this sounds like a good idea to someone who does. So... yeah. Ciao.
It is a good idea, in fact it was implemented by the PRC people in NWN1, so I would expect it should get implemented for NWN2 when/if they port everything over.
