In addition to see some more vehicles getting made, We would like to see them move as well.
If there are any NWN 2 animators reading this, here is a great way to use your animating talent.
We would like to see some moving vehicles: Horse Carriages, War Chariots, wagons, flying ships, rafts, canoes, carts, flying carpets, sleds, and more.

Could the wheels be done with a vfx? At least on fantasy vehicles? _________________________ NTB's Hills and Valleys Vol. 00

IIRC, there are animated catapults in the vault made out of creatures and OEI did the same for the siege towers. _________________________ NTB's Hills and Valleys Vol. 00
Seems like a moving dog sled would not be too hard to make. A sled would just looks like it's moving, no wheel's turning or such. Have some wolf's with harnesses attached to the sled so they are pulling it.
Hey jester, that seems like a good idea. Somehow to edit an existing creature to imitate the look of a wagon. Or you could just add "clothing" onto a horse that imitates a cart behind it...nah, that probably would look strange. Wasn't there a guy on the Custom Content Forums that mentioned he had animated a mine cart? _________________________

Actually it probably wouldn't be too hard - providing you don't want wheels to move and things like that. Just modify a bear to look like a cart and then weight all the vertices to it's spine (the root of it's skeleton) and you should have something that'll move. Might shimmy a bit but not much.

This has to get done to illustrate the the potential of it and the obstacles in it's path. For that reason it deserves high priority. _________________________ NTB's Hills and Valleys Vol. 00
And the other possibility (that I meant) was to manifacture those moving placeables into creatures. I dont know if you know the term "ripping", but it has something to do with animations, bones and so forth - and is realy annoying and takes much time. Thats why probably noone will do something like this. _________________________ Level Designer - Ossian Studios NWN2: Mysteries of Westgate - NWN2's only Adventure Pack
The problem is, the Toolset is unable to move placeables by means of destroying and recreating the placeables. It takes too much time and effort of the Toolset, and moving them would take more than 1 whole second. This was the way Neverwinter Nights did it.
I do wonder if it is possible to create a VFX look alike, and let that move after having destroyed the placeable, and at the end recreate the placeable at the place where the VFX ended.
I agree. Unfortunately I also know why this probably wont happen soon/after all. _________________________ Level Designer - Ossian Studios NWN2: Mysteries of Westgate - NWN2's only Adventure Pack
Yes, I would love to see moving horse carriages and wagons - wish someone would be able to animate these for us. :) _________________________
