I think that one of the greatest things in games is free roaming.
Making your char and than going out to a world full of options and oppotunites, not being pulled by a huge quest you didnt chose, but having a large number of small and big quests that will match any char interest. with lots of companions to join you, many cool places to visit and some random ganereted enemys here and then it could be great.
And it will be even more great (but i dont know if it's possible S: ) to have a random generated world, with random ganeretad people, qustes and enemys, that will have a huge replay value, and can be done with smart writing and coding. I think it can be a huge project of many fans joining together to make an endless, limteless module!

actually, random dungeons by traditional means aren't completely possible in NWN or NWN2. The best faked example I can think of is Endless Depths for NWN2. it basically creates a huge square room, fills it with randomly placed but always interlocking walls, with placed doors... and places pre created creatures in random groups of rooms.
I suggest you look that mod up. I've personally been hoping for it to get expanded myself, but a new mod with that concept is always a good thing. _________________________ __________________________________________________

perhaps that was what was used in the nwn1 module "Infinite dungeons"
Good idea.. but would need a lot of work! I expect it's doable... since randomly generated areas were done in diablo.. but it would need lots of varying tilesets to be interesting.
You might like to try PWs as they fit the bill. There are many different types. An Action based PW seems to be what you want although you might get a better population on an RP or RP lite one.
Random Generated worlds can't be done all that well although they can be faked to a certain extent. By pre-building a bunch of small areas you can randomly sort them woth some randomly selected pre-built creatures spawned at the time you create the shuffle. These types of things take a while to come to fruition so are very rare in NWN2 right now but a few are being developed.
