It infuriates me when games think they can get away with corpse theft. You know what I mean, when they pull that freshly killed corpse from under your feet, and replace it with a little sack. I wondered if it was possible to script NWN2's corpses to *not* fade away immediately. The user should be able to tell the game how many corpses they'd like to stick around, so that everyone can tailor the effect to the limits of their systems.
Its interesting that user created modules offer such ease of control regarding corpse decay, yet the values can't be easily tweaked in the official campaigns....So in your opinions, would such a modification even be possible?
In user created modules and PWs, the author has complete control of weither or not and after how long a corpse fades. These are simply creature properties: Corpse Fade check box, and Fade Delay in milliseconds. The defults for NWN2 are fade after 5 seconds.
On our PW we have all the corpses set to fade after 5 mintues. I agree piles of corpses are far more dramatic.
I can't think of any simple override that would adjust all the creature blueprints in the manor you are looking for.
