Name  Monsters we really want!
Author  Zodiac
Submitted / Updated  01-01-2007 / 05-10-2007
Category  Toolset
Short Description  Monster improvement
Type  Additions
Description
Since we are getting this Granny plugin with the patch, hopefully we can make these.

Brownies
Titans
Manscorpions
Sahuagins
Troglodytes
Driders
Centaurs
Kuo-toas
Yuan-Tis
Thri-Keens
Wemics
Devas, Solars, Planeters and those 3 fallen as well. (They werent in Neverwinter 2 were they?)

These monsters above at the least should be made. The are lots of different variations from these. Fighters, wizards, Clerics etc. They all make for good NPCs as well.

I like to see these too.
Ooze/Puddings/gelatinous Cubes (They werent in Neverwinter 2 were they?)
Slaads (them too?)
Spectures (them three?)
Hobgoblins (them four?)
Dretchs
Living Wall
Zombie (Elfs, Orcs, drow, Driders)
Vampires (Elfs, Drow, illithid, Driders)
Lich (elementist, pscionis, drow, cleric,)
Abishais
Lamias
Demi Lichs
Pegaus
Satyrs
Feyrs
Gremlins
Cyclcops
Banshees
Nagas
Medusas
Salamanders
Vampiric Mists
manticores
Beholders
Chimeras
Death Knights
Harpys
Golems (mud, brain, magic, clay, flesh, adominate, mithrial, stone)
Phoenixs and fallen Phoenixs (evil)
Sirines

Have more titles to characters/creatures: Counts, Countess, Dukes, Duchess, Empire, Empires, Queen, King, Price, Princess, inquisitor, avenger, hunter, gladiator, squire, apprentice, acolyte, Prophet, Guardian, Hermit, servant, master, crusader, solider, sir, baron, warlock, witch, counselor, Duke, overlord, veteran, predator, scavenger, peon, Warchief, militia, foot solider, Saint, Lieutenant, Sgt., slayer, juggernaut, captain, commander, marauder, raider, butcher, scout, advocate, nemesis, minion, ravager, disciple, avatar, rebel, commando, maiden, madam

Try to add the appropriate visual effects for these titles. Give royalty titled characters/creatures a crown, robe, and specter to wear. Acolyte and Warlocks wear robes, etc.

These title could determine how powerful the character/creature is.

Have adjectives for characters/creatures: Elite, possessed, diseased, dammed, unholy, vile, plagued, decayed, sickened, mad, rotten, holy, exalted, blessed, vicious, wicked, deranged, infected, foul, wretched, mad, demented, refurbished, cracked, crumbling,
decomposing, divine, prehistoric, ancient, poisonous, venomous, lethal, toxic, embalmed, persevered, grand, savage, mighty, heavenly,

Their titles would mean something: Divine could inflict divine damage. Plagued causes diseases upon hit. Venomous inflicts poison. Etc.

I would also like to see reskins glore for many of the monsters. All monsters should like were they are living at. In the desert make a sand troll with brown skin, with fire resistance. In the snow make an ice troll with white skin, and frost resistance. Do this for many more monsters.

Id like to see a more undead variations to monsters. Zombie trolls, etc. A description for what undead is attacking would be better. It is a ghoul alright, but what kind? A half Orc, a Giant ghoul etc?

I like to see monsters wear more adventuring equipment especially, clothing and armor included. They just should not run around naked or near that. Monsters could have once be adventures. Like a Paladin who was killed by a group of Zombies. Rises up and becomes a Zombie, and still wears his gear. Or some one puts armor on their pet troll and sends it out to battle.

I agree more models Please!

Don't forget the giant scorpions! And other giant bugs (including formians).

Would also like to see Wights added, along with more dragons, outsiders, and
abberations.

The lack of creature models in the tool set have has been a source of agitation for me since I picked up NWN2 and MoTB a month ago. You would think it being the official AD&D game, it would have at least 1/2 of the creatures from the Monster Manuals already in it. Alas it is not so.

Warning the following post is for comedic relief only, please don't take personal, because I hope some current/future owner of Granny does add the following to your list. Please stop reading if you find offensive.

SNAKES ON A PLANE! R (Planar)

Large constrictor snakes would be nice. Also Aligators/crocs, giant lizards, giant toads.

and of course Yazirians...Monkeys with wings.
and my personal favorite, fruitbats on crack.

Sammi Jackson, Planar

Don't forget male werewolves and werewolves that aren't SMALL. It was incredibly shortsighted of Obisidan to limit the werewolf to a small female just because the only werewolves in the campaign are female gnomes.

yeahh-obsidians choice of creature animation/renderer programs is questionable.. maybe they'll have a shareware version of it especially if obsidian payed for it for exclusive use for nwn2..

I always suggested in the forums before that they have a build your own monster add on which you pick arms/legs/heads how many where they should go, deform body or adjust size. possibly adjust size of particular bodyparts, tint skin, texture skin & create animation helper once your done. then you submit it to the vault. If anything is buggy someone can help you fix it.
This is doable but I don't think anyone thought of this-or read my posts long before nwn2 came out. for an example look at city of villains. they have a great character customizer but the same can be used for creatures.

I am not refering to wyrm dragons. Of course more dragons or any other monsters in different sizes, shapes, and colors are always welcome.

I am refering to giant worms or sometimes spelled wurm in D&D books.
Like the fiendwurm.

Damn this Granny3D! Hopefully there will be an alternative way to create more monsters.

I think you mean Wyrm, rather than Worm. Hehehe.

while it's a great idea, it'd only work once we manage to create something that can switch animations from one format to another.

then granny3d may try to sue obsidion (because they are a business that makes a program that costs ten thousand dollars, and is designed to make skeletons and animations hard to make without thier product.)

Megadeth has a very intelligent way of talking about governments and religions: Either they bullshit you or try to kill you for not being one of them. I wholeheartedly agree.
(Note: Just because Mustaine is christian doesn't mean he believes EVERYTHING the bible tells him.)
