My idea is fairly simple, and easy enough to implement, and one that I am currently working on - fleshing out the race subtrees with other, existing, PnP DnD races. I have most of the ADnD 3.5 race-related books, and see many that could be adapted to NWN2 to increase the longevity of the game.
Example:
Aquatic Elves, Elf Subrace
Racial Adjustments: +2DEX -2INT, +1Level Adjustment
Preferred Class: Fighter
Special Feats: Landwalker
Landwalker*: You can survive out of water, unlike most of your kind, however, you are less resistant to disease.
I'm new here and I like your idea, but if you don't mind I made four new subraces and I made the half-celestial a playable race and it's easy too. The way I did these four others is just copying the race colors and body forms ,and the feats to these I modified from the original just by renaming them and adding few feats to them.
Half-Drow-Celestial (this idea is not mine read it from somewhere can't remeber)
Half-Elf-Celestial (mine)
Drow-Moon-Elf (this idea came from someone who created Tanithiel)
Half-Dragon-Celestial (mine as well)
