Another stab at a custom model. I'm starting to think I kinda know what I'm doing. Well, not really...
This one is a trident that your average village blacksmith might make. Very unadorned and plain. This model replaces the spear model #32. You can use the hak by itself or place the other three files in your override to access. Whichever you prefer.
It might make a nice addition to my previous attempt at custom work.
Update 10/18/08: A re-skinned version of this model can be found in my Trident Pack #1.
*zip file. The model replaces #32 of the spear blueprint. Included: a hak file, the MDB, the texture (DDS), and a blueprint (UTI). If you just want the hak, all you should need to do is place it in your hak folder and attach it to your mod. Otherwise, copy the model, texture, and uti into your override to use.
Great! Hope you enjoy skewering your opponents with it! _________________________ "I am sitting in the smallest room of my house. I have your review before me. In a moment it will be behind me."

It took me longer than I want to admit, but I now have it working. Thank you very much!
@Andy. I'm not perfectly sure of the question, so I'll try to answer it two ways. If you're getting hung up after attaching the hak to your mod, you may may want to clean out your override folder and give it another try. You may have a conflict. If the hak is giving problems, try the override files (in a clean folder) just to make sure it works.
If you're new to the toolset and are having problems, I've added quick and dirty instructions below. It may help. Let me know if you're still having troubles.
=====Override Version=====
Extract the files w_spear32.mdb and w_spear32.dds into your override folder. It's usually in My Documents, but you may have a different setup. The trident will be available as model #32 whenever you make a spear blueprint in your mod.
=====hak version=====
To use the hak, extract trident2.hak to your hak folder (\NeverwinterNights2\hak). Open your mod in the toolset and click View --> Module Properties. If necessary, click the Properties button (usually located in the upper right) and look for the cell named "hak packs."
Click the button marked "..." in the text box and a new window should open. Click the Add button, then the ... button and browse to your hak directory and open trident2.hak. Click OK. The hak is now attached, but you may need to save, close, and then re-open your mod for it to work (this is true for all hak packs, I believe).
=====Making a new blueprint=====
Open your mod and copy a spear blueprint to your module (right click-->Copy Blueprint-->Module) then open the new blueprint in a new window. Change "Model Part 1" from 1 to 32. I've also found that I have more immediate success when I change the resource name, tag, and template resref to something unique.
Alternately, I have included a blueprint file. If you extract it (trident_s2.uti) to your override, you will find a pre-made trident in your blueprints. You can copy it to your mod (right click-->copy blueprint-->module) and make changes as necessary.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can do anything else.

I'm new here and can't figure out how to get this to work. Could someone please be more specific as to how to install this. I think I am getting hung up on attaching this to my mod. Thanks!
Thanks for the encouragement and votes. _________________________ "I am sitting in the smallest room of my house. I have your review before me. In a moment it will be behind me."
