@nicethugbert: Not necessarily. Just because it's got a curved blade doesn't necessarily make it a scimitar. I have two cutlasses (short swords--designed for shipboard use) and two sabers (longswords--probably not perfectly in place in a game with no ride-able horses). But both are based on the same model, as are two of the scimitars.

Except some of the short swords and long swords are scimitars. Oops I voted to fast.
