BouncyRock Entertainment README FILE: Driders
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
by Jonny Ree Link
Hello everyone.
I know a lot of people have been waiting for this a long time. Even though it
didn't end up as a playable race, atleast you've got a creature with some variations.
Hope everyone enjoys it.
It may have fallen short of the original ambition for this project, however if this is
well enough received and enough people end up using it, I may end up doing an expansion
with more facial variations as well new armor types.
Information on creature
The creature pack comes with two blueprints which are there to demonstrate use.
All parts are tintable to some degree, and should give enough flexibility to greater your own driders.
Female drider comes with:
2xBody (cloth, leather)
1xhead
1xhair
1xSpiderBody
Male drider comes with:
2xBody (nk, cloth(actually leather)
2xHeads (Normal & one battle-worn)
1xhair
1xSpiderBody
1xHelmet
- Jonny
Special thanks to:
- Michele aka liso: for constant support.
- Jclef for all the compliments while creating
- Dirtywick for making the blueprints
- Everyone over at the bouncyrock forums, nwn2cr channel and bioware forum!

Your stuff is awesome, it really is. But...
PLEASE! Never include a repute.fac in your stuff ever again, never ever!

Damn it. Not these advertisers again, why is it they are suddenly posting on every ign site with no moderation? Someone needs to kick these idiots back to the nine hells and get rid of their posts and votes-they really don't deserve freedom of speech.

One word-EPICK-is there by any chance a mod that adds a spell allowing you to transform other characters into driders under your control as a mantained summon(where that character cannot summon other creatures, and the drider remains at the level it started at?)?

They look menacing and they're easy to modify. Just .25 from 10 because of lack of mouth anim. and because of that aberrant .FAC file.

A+. I can't believe the quality of your work.

I'm sorry but i'm a noob at the NWVault. How exactly do you put this in the game?

A nice creature addition. Could have been made much more customizable but I understand that it would take a lot of work to make it as customizable as a playable race. The decision to not do that unless it's seen being used by the community is a good way to go.
Major problem I have with this addition is the repute.fac file that was included will change the factions of all modules when placed in the override directory. This causes NPCs that shouldn't be hostile to be hostile to the PC and other NPCs. This can be a serious issue and it's not documented in the included readme. I also see no reason why a creature addition should be going beyond it's scope and changing factions in the first place.

Sweet! Not only were these seriously missing from the game, but they are absolutely beautifully done, this is beyond excellence, it's groundbreaking! _________________________ Loudwater / KOW / Khalidine

Not sure if I voted already but now I do either. Great job :)
Armors as mentioned would be really great to have full support. So it's used as player races more easiliy if seeing the armors. But one other thing I did like to request is if you can make some spiders out of them too ? The legs look like they could give some real nasty spiders. Would be great. Thanks _________________________ Ja khaless zhah waela !

You truly are a gifted artist. This is marvelous, thank you very much. People like you keep the interest in NWN2 module making alive, at least it does for me, and I am grateful.

Excellent stuff. Though even under the clothing category I still don't see the helm. What am i missing? What is the exact name of the helm?
Posted by sirchet at 2009-03-29 07:03:29 Voted 10.00 on 03/29/09
What can I say, that hasn't already been said?
Oh, and we're waiting on Ettins, Hobgoblins, Pegasus's, Cyclops and Troglodytes.
Let's get crack'n Jonny!!
ps... THANKS!!

Thanks everyone for such wonderful feedback! this will surely give me the encouragement to create more creatures :) thanks!
PS: If you're putting any Bouncyrock creations in your module, please take some screenshots and post them over at the bouncyrock forum. There's nothing quite like seeing the creatures running around within other people's imaginations.
Azenn: The helmet is located under Cloth helmets. (May not make sense I know) but if you equip a cloth helmet, or just give it the visual appearance for the helmet.. it should be there. it fits both heads, with or without hair.

Hey, fantastic work. Please... don't hesitate to release more of your stuff as I'm sure it will find a home. In fact, I'll go ahead and incorporate every one of your works into my next mod just to give you some more encouragement.
Anyway, the only problem I have with the drider is for some reason I cannot get the helmet to show up. I select 2 for the head (I assume that's the helmet), but nothing happens. Anyone else have this problem?

Nicely done, sir! Dreadful driders dance delightedly during dark drow dalliances, and it's all thanks to you.
Thanks, to you.
