I used the alpha channel on the main texture to clip out the dorsal fin. Unfortunately the fin isn't completely flat near the base, so clipping too close to the neck/body results in a large gap where you can see through the model. Clipping too far away results in a stubby bit of fin. I compromised, and clipped enough to prevent a fin stub, but far enough away from the neck/body so that you only see a very thin line of 'invisibility'.

Very good! The only problem I see is there's a thin line down the fin of the creature where the textures don't quite match up(there's a gap). Besides that minor problem, this is very good. I'd love every dragon to be like this...but you're putting out a very nice bestiary in just your own way!
