Tintable lion, tiger and bear models that are white by default.
Tiger and lion skins were originally by Hellfire and Cyphre, and
are part of Cyphre's Companions Pack:
Link I have created new tint textures and Appearance.2DA entries from scratch
(attack distances, personal space, etc have been tweaked to prevent
excessive crotch-penetration of the player).
Files include:
lion_tiger_bear.HAK - a HAK file containing all the models and textures and a SoZ Appearance.2DA (using line numbers in the upper 900s)
lions_tigers_bears.ERF - various blueprints that can be imported into a module
Lions-Tigers_Bears_TestModule.ZIP - a test module showcasing the beasties (includes the HAK)
Lions_Tigers_Bears_OverrideVersion.ZIP - an override version of the models (does not include Appearance.2DA)
Tinted_Bear_OverrideExisting.ZIP - this will override the existing bear model in the game, making it white by default. The tint texture has been designed so that the black bear wildshape used by druids will appear correctly.
Brilliant idea PGB01! That way bears in existing modules and campaigns don't all turn white, and it's just a matter of choosing 'cloth' version two in the armour appearance tab to make your own bears tintable. I've done that plenty of times with humanoid models, but it never occured to me to use the same approach on creature models.
Although the advantage of new 2DA entries is that you can tweak the attack distances and personal space so that the PC isn't half buried in the creature when attacking.

Thank you. There is already a 'white' DDS texture C_Bearwhite_CL_Body01 in the OC Materials, but at a lower resolution than the equivalent texture here.
Since they carry the same animations as the panther, bear models already extant, it is just as easy to rename them as c_bearbrown_cl_body02 etc, and then they don't need the entry into the appearance 2da.
Using all of the above plus the tint texture, I've now got an any colour bear for just 296KB.
