this is much more than i could do when it comes to model design..but i sometimes wonder if modelers are actual artists or just modelers..i say this here because i feel this item is somewhat inconcistent..as if one half was created with a very original idea in mind..and then the other half was just thrown in there..i am in no way trying to take anything away from your model..but i am an artist myself, though not a modeler nor do i have the software to do so..but regardless, i am an artist.
from my perspective (however much it matters)..i feel like the hilt/handle piece is extremely well designed..where the blade falls entirely short of complimenting the hilt/handle as a complete weapon. i look at weapon designs here from a more fantastic/legendary approach..as if the designer should give the community something we cant get and already dont have..concidering this outlook in the mind of a fantasy realm type weaponsmith, why would the weaponsmith make such a fantastic hilt/handle and not fashion a blade with as much compliment?..something in the sort of intricate/specific markings on the blade unique to the smith, much like katana swords bare the markings of their maker, signifying the weapon as a one of kind..with a sharper, more refined and imposing blade, style and craftmanship..i see the blade of this weapon as no more than a generic representation of the entire weapon, where as, the hilt/handle represent the makings of a true craftsman..its as if the hilt/handle were designed by the master and the blade designed by the apprentice..
all in all, its a nice weapon..i just wish modelers would spend more time refining their work in a more artist/fantastic way..NWN2 is full of generic looking weapons..i'm just looking for something beyond what we've already been given..
again, i'm not taking anyting away from this design, because its more than i could make with modeling software..but not more than i can draw..
Looks sweet, going to try it out and see if I can get it to my drow. Rating pending after in game test.. FYI a readme would be nice for folks like me who are not very savy at adding custom content hehe.

Excellent weapon, without this high count of polygones, it would be a 9.0 or 9.5
