The day has come for you to join the fabled Silverhelms in their Stronghold across the river. But, it will not be that simple, strange howls in the night signify trouble on the horizon.
Recommend around 10th level melee class of a good alignment. A short module around 30-40 min. in length.
My first attempt at a module and it is patched together like a ragtag team of blind goblin spelunkers. Be gentle.
You will need to download both zips and put them in their proper folders in C:/My Documents/Neverwinter Nights2 folders.
I used the following mods:
Snow Pack by Sureiyaa
Tintable Clothing Compilation pack | 1.1 by Cleitanious
The HAK file required to play. Unzip this file in your C:/My Documents/Neverwinter Nights2/hak folder. If there is no hak folder in that directory, make one.

Alright, but too hastily considered finished. Not even one journal/quest item fires--nor does any parameter change upon completion of tasks.

Kinda hard for the levels suggested. Died a lot even with potions. Opening and ending outdoor areas could have been cut down to size. Hard to load. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Good module to spend one hour playing H&S. No more pretentions.

Respawn is in some battles inevitable, at least with D&D Hardcore rules. Well desinged areas, especially that Timberclaw cave. Lacks background story. Still a nice little mod. _________________________ A good module author is PAG: Patient, Ambitious and Gutsy.

Nice cave (especially near the pit). I haven't understand there was a curse (sorry) maybe a short history at the beginning of the module would be good.

Worth playing but I'd like to see another version of it. Other then the journal entries and better fleshed out story needed and all the rest of the constructive crit, here's my additions:
the cave roof irritates me. Makes top down a pain, which is irritating when the camera has rotated to the side and all I see is wall while my character faces fanged meanies.
A merchant in town would be nice. I was well supplied with potions and packs when I came in, but it would be annoying for someone with little to start with.

Some good laughs, the reason for the bridge out was chuckelicious.

I just played your module and give it a score of 6, here's why.
WARNING! Possible spoilers below!
.............................
Pros:
Short and quick, just how i like em.
Above average plot (for some reason i found it rather entertaining).
Excellent Tileset you used for the Cave.
And pretty good snow texture you used.
Cons:
Even though i enjoyed the plot, it could have been spiced up a bit more (i.e make shops in town, more NPCs, perhaps a side quest or 2).
I found a glitch in the mini map of the Cave tileset, while i liked the tileset itself (for me at least) i found that the mini map is all messed up, i had to minimize NWN2 once and when i brought NWN2 back it seemed to have fixed the issue.
Im sort of wondering WHY im travelling during the night of all times, why not midday or something?
Im not sure how this was supposed to be but the Key to the Planning room was in the Bathroom and the Bathroom was locked. Also all the locked doors can be destroyed and thats how i got into the Bathroom, the door to the bathroom should be unlocked and the others locked and set to plot.
I played a level 10 Monk equipped with the best stuff for a lvl 10 Monk and i found some parts too easy (i.e the Wolves and Minor mobs in the Cave).
I give it a 6 because i liked the Plot, but really there's not much innovation here, keep up the good work!
Cheers! _________________________ Don't do to a friend what you wouldn't want him to do to you.

A nice, quick, amusing module. No problems noted as I played through, or at least not any that were annoying enough for me to remember now as I type this.

Pretty fun hack n slash with an interesting twist at the end. There was almost no loot along the way though, and my 7 paladin/ 3 divine champion died a few times in the caves.
More loot and maybe a store would have recieved a higher vote.
As it is, 5- Fair, solid, yet unremarkable. _________________________ "Jelly for God's sake Beans! This is madness! Where did he get the money to buy a hundred and fifty thousand dollars' worth of jelly beans?"

Just as advertised: short straight-forward hack and slash. Because there has not been much quality work out there yet, it is worth playing but there is not much to it.

Brian & David Caldwell:
I enjoyed your mod once I got thru the forest. I'm not sure why but the frame rate seems to slow down in the forest, runs great in the cave and castle. I'm sure it's not my pc, (AMD64 2 gigs ram and nvidia 7950 GT FX with 512 megs DDR3) OC runs great maxed out, as do other mods.
I downloaded the newer version and the hak, and ran your mod again with the same results. I wonder if it's the trees, maybe another modder will know.
All in all, a fun mod, my duel wielding ranger had a good romp.
Thanks for making this mod. _________________________ Help is good when asked for,

A very simple hack and slash mod, but an enjoyable one.
I liked the layout of the main area... it is large and dangerous with all the traps and animals, but the snowy landscape looked nice and was very effective.
The spawns are rather repetitive, though... and journal entries would be welcome. Also, the story could have been more developed... perhaps finding some more NPCs in the stronghold would help to fill in the details or to build up the tension.
But it is a very good first effort... no game stopping bugs, good area design, funny moments and some challenging but balanced combat (at least for a fighting character).
Nice work.

As a first mod nice work. We played this in about 40 mins with a paladin and cleric at level 9 each. As a multiplay with those two classes it was pretty easy. We liked the snow covered areas. I agree I loved the sense of humor!
There are some door entrances floating around in the town that has no usable doors. Run your mouse over the town slowly to find them.
Possible spoilers
gnoll spawns in grotto on top of character were not that realistic
no attack after cutscene as already stated
I liked the Sir Brian hook with him being undead and afraid the Silverhelms would attack him, but I wish there was a real population of Silverhelms in the stronghold.
Swedish Chef LOVED IT!
Thanks for your work it has a ton of potential for more story if you wish to update of add on.
Thanks for those comments, I will take those all into consideration for any future projects. I figured the head was giving off a wicked aura in the sack, seeing as how there is no gnoll head icon just Frost/Fire giant and orc.
Oh and I have World War Z sitting right next to me.
You guys definately have a sense of humor. The dialogue is funny and a nice break from the challenging, but manageable, combat. It is definately designed with a melee class, and a heavy armored one at that, in mind. I was getting hammered with a 27 AC Monk.
I also thought the Zombie Survival Guide reference was awesome, so awesome that on the piece of paper on my desk I wrote "Zombie Suvival Guide = Awesome" on it. As an aside, there's a sequal to it called Zombie Wars or something, I saw it at the bookstore.
Anyway, here is a list of issues and possible *spoilers*:
There are no journal entries. It would have been nice to have at least one in the beginning for some kind of background info.
Unlimited respawn takes any challenge out of combat.
The areas are somewhat bland. Ground vegitation/rocks would be nice.
No loot at all?
No one attacks after a cutscene.
The severed head has what I thought was a weird icon.
Brian doesn't acknowledge that you have the pearl. I'm not sure what to do at what I think is the end of the adventure.
On the encounter triggers, cool in the forest because it's like they're coming out of the treeline, no good in the caves as there's no way to gage what you're coming up against.
Ok I have made a hak file for the mod and updated the mod to use it. If you have the override and that version of the mod and have no problems with that, keep on truckin. Let me know if this does not work, and also what you think of it.
You post a hak pack on the vault for people to download and use... it means people are going to use it. If this is not to your liking... then don't post it on a free site where everyone and their mother will download it and... use it.
He properly credited everyone he used in the very top in the module post making sure to give you and the others credit for their work. Heck in NWN1 you'd be lucky to even get that much.
So I think you are far overdoing things here. He has followed the standard courtesy of every module author since the very first NWN1.
You probobly should have requested persmission to redistribute other peoples' work. _________________________ I believe in science and that science can explain everything,
Because God has made it all work in such a beautiful way.
I will make a hak, I just can't find any information on what to do. The problem with this being a sequal is everyone talks like you should already know what you're doing. I don't.
Well my Override is full of stuff so that could be a problem placeing your stuff into the same folder.
I'll download your mod and hopefully your Override files are diffrent to mine.
