Hammerfest is a hack'n'slash module which will recieve frequent content updates. You start at the town of Hammerfest, and can grind enemies in respawning dungeons. This is the second version of the module and still lacks much content.
At the moment the module has three respawning grind areas:
The Rat Cave, for levels 1-4
The Nightwood Valley, for levels 3-6
The Crypt of the Nemesis Lich, for levels 5-8
Levels are estimated and depend on class , race, player etc..
Also note that there is no respawn in Hammerfest, save often and use potions, they are cheap.
Comments, suggestions and such are very welcome and will affect how the mod builds up. Please post them at NWN2 forums Hammerfest thread.

Too simple to please me.
The repop is too quick and the quest log not used. Not finished at all.

Nice town, beautiful areas and a scary crypt. I like this very much!

This is my favorite module. I hope you don't mind, but I used Hammerfest slightly modified for my modules Seaside 1 thru 6

Enjoyed a couple of hours just smacking things. This was fun but got a bit old rather soon. Anyone liking hack and slash should get some fun playing this.
This mod would be better if you add in some method of uploading created character for companions. The Endless Depths module had this feature, perhaps you could do the same? Playing a respawning dungeon would be better IMO if there is companions.
Oops...did not really notice the smiley..sorry for jumping so fast.. and thank you for telling me how to get to the higher level dungeon.I will go try to find it now.
I was not meaning to be rude, hence the smiley :)
You can access the second dungeon via the south road, there you will find the crypt. I also understand that the mod is still a bit boring, it is after all a "preview version". But rest assured it will soon kick ass :D
I have already completed a stunningly beautiful new exterior area that will add some diversity within a week I hope :)
ok...
1)What part of "respawning dungeons" did you not understand?"
that is a bit rude. When I get a blank journel entry, and am told i will be rewarded by the guy if I help him..I expect that I will be rewarded, by the quest giver who hired me. Is that unreasonable?
2) you said there were 2 dungeons. My fighter has been fighting things a bit tougher that rats and goblins, and by now it is really mnot worth my time to kill a bunch of things that barely even give experience. In fact it ruins the experience for me.You said 2 dungeons, one for 1-5, one for 5-10. I would expect to get the higher one.So do you have any idea why I got the beginner cave?
I had the same problem as greencherry. I get the first quest from captain Hrotham, to clean out the rat cave. Go through it and perhaps because the rats, goblins and the goblin champion respawn I can never clean it completely out thus the Captain will not speak to me again. My player is level 7.
I think I had a journel problem. I talked to the guy in charge, he gave me the quest for the first dungon, but it did not show up in the journel and I could not talk to him after that, except to say nothing.
I also would like to suggest a couple things. Lock the doors you cannot use. I kept tryign to go into the buildings at first, and now a few people need new doors.
second..add more market noise. I went to the general goods store..heard these 3 sentences over and over as i bought stuff..it was eerie.
" I want to buy one mommy",followed fast by" ha ha ha" ( exactly 3 ha's) overlapped by " get yourself a good blade here...".
Also..my fighter uses a bow well too..I was a bit frustrated to not even find a basic arrow to shoot.I did like Ola though..that was funny. Not voting now since this is not finished yet. If you could help on the journel thing, ( maybe i missed something) I would like that.

Master Talvisiielu,
I've always liked Hack-n-Slash; especially if it has a real dungeon (Crypts, Ruins, Caves, Etc.) in it! I used my good ol' Drow Fighter to take down the creatures-which was great fun. I have to a gree with Master Sirchet when it comes to the Transitional bugs-I only had 2 of those problems, though. Look foward to getting the update!
Thank you for the comment and doing some testing for me! Remember to look for a new version in 2 weeks, it will reveal the second door and add an area to balance the gap between rat cave and the crypt for some grind diversity. I will also fine tune the crypt and give it a named boss and better looks.

talvisielu:
I played your mod and had some fun. Not bad for a straight forward hack n slash.
I did have some trouble transitioning with doors going down or up, but nothing that moving with the wasd keys couldn't get me out of.
I wonder what lurks behind the locked door in the Lich dungeon?
Thanks for letting me play your mod, my dwarf ranger had a blast. _________________________ Help is good when asked for,
