I think this was a pretty solid first-try-module ... but it didn't really strike me as being anything above average at first. But ... there were some things that really caught my eyes which makes my score go a couple of points above a 5.00 vote, a vote I would've given if these elements would have been absent. But I'd like to save the good stuff for last, so first ... here's the gripes: The dialog felt pretty linear and dull at times ... and some dialog went by so quickly that I didn't have a chance to finish reading them. I'm guessing this is because of some kind of options that needs tweaking within the dialog ... can't really say for sure other than that it was slightly annoying. Also ... regarding the battles. They were pretty challenging when it comes to the creature's attributes, spells and skills ... but they didn't hurt my PC very much. Perhaps increasing their strenght's, or anything similar, would make them a bit more challenging? It's not a mayor gripe but I think it would've felt a bit more fun playing if they would've kicked my character's butt a bit more, at least for a few times. The game-play felt very linear ... I have nothing against linearity, in a matter of fact, I usally PREFER it. But this felt so old-school ... go to a new area, do the quest, gain a reward, return to headquarters, go to a new area ... and well, the same thing ... and it continues like that for the rest of the mod. Sure, you had different enemies and bosses to face in each area but the overall game-play didn't strike me as being overly appealing anyway. That's enough of the gripes. :) Here's the good stuff: The way you used the fairy-tales in your mod was creative and I liked it pretty much ... escpecially the one you made for the Seven Dwarves. I won't spoil anything other than that it's pretty different from the regular tales. I also liked how you got special items from each of the characters ... like the hood of "Red Riding Hood". Really awesome. Also, the overall variety and balance of items felt pretty solid as well. Characters had fitting clothing- and overall appearance and they felt like they really belonged in the module. And rightly so. Also, the music you used was fittingly placed, both for areas and battles, and it created good atmoshpere. Especially for the forest in the final mission. And one of the best things with this mod ... the atmoshpere and layout of the areas. This is one of the mayor things that makes my score go above 5.00. I've tried doing some exteriors (outside areas) for NWN2 and I find it pretty challenging ... but you've managed to create areas that really feel REAL. And that's really something. Like the forests ... they have everything a forest should have. Patches of grass, tall grass, patches of rock, small trees, large trees, gigantic trees, bushes, glades and the list just goes on and on. And in that appartment you've succeded extremely well. So finally ... this mod sure had some gripes but hat's off to the author for maneging to keep me interested either way thanks to the awesome atmoshpere and the other good stuff I mentioned above! So, basically, this mod had more good things than bad, thus I'll be giving you a 7.00 vote which means: "Very Good, Deserves a Look". Well done. :) _________________________ /Berra - NWN1 modules: Berra's Module Collection (All of Berra's NWN1 works) Interviews: NWN-PODCAST INTERVIEW & GOLDEN DRAGON AWARD INTERVIEW. Grimm Brigade is a short (one-hour), hack-and-slash module that provides an amusing take on four Brothers Grimm tales. While the gameplay is fairly shallow and the module is shamelessly linear in design, the excellent area design and clever adaptation of the stories into an action-heavy romp make it worth the time to download and play. The one major criticism I have is that the enemies seem overpowered?I played a half-orc barbarian, a class perfectly suited to the module's style, yet struggled to survive in many fights without using copious amounts of healing potions. Unless you set the difficulty or play a straight melee class, I could see this module being overwhelmingly tough. Still, it's well worth a play as long as you bear this in mind.

I'm glad you had a good time playing the module, Langus. I'll be sure to include Warmaces with any future updates. Thanks for the vote and happy gaming! :)

Fun, quick hack and slash. My Dwarven Two-weapon Monkey-gripping warrior had a great time. Only one complaint - No Warmaces! :(

Good quick Hns fun Played through it 3 times last night, Dwf Ftr (Dwf WarAx + Shd), Wood Elf Rgr/Ftr (Highest dex, Longbow, Sling + shd and wand of magic missiles), finally half orc barb/ftr/frenz bers (grt Sword). Each ended up with different xp, Half Orc last of all but easiest (I believe if you have 1 lvl of favoured class, you should not receive xp penalties). Toughest was archer, could not really touch the treants with piercing and bludgeoning weapons so and luckily had some UMD so could use wand of magic missiles. Another strange thing was all eqpt was more expensive for Half Orc, his int was better than wood elf but CHA was still 6. Does that mean that charisma comes into the appraising situation. Not a glich but a possibility as Wood Elf was killing orcs through bow and arrow, at the very end some of the orcs were attacked by giant or giant attacked them. Maybe a time issue with getting through barricades. The eqpt that was given etc, maybe too powerful to be used in another 9th lvl mod (Not really that many around and even then the author's prefer you use their eqpt). Red Riding Hood's hood was ruddy important, playing hardcore throughout so immunity to critical hits makes a huge difference. Looking forward to anything new in the future, although have not checked out your submissions but name rings a bell.
