DISCLAIMER:
This little module is all I had spare time to create for the time being.
It is not exactly the epitome of my work, but it could provide a little fun for 1-2 hours. It is a simple single player module, meant to be the start of a better and larger series. This module was added to the module competition because I had nothing better.
It can not be used properly for multiplayer.
Think of it as a small prelude module.
INSTALLATION:
Nothing special should be needed to play this module. The module file (.mod) could be used alone.
Place the .mod file in your NWN2/module directory and the rest of the optional files in the NWN2/override directory. Make sure you use the My Documents directory, not the game folder. Also, make sure to unpack the .zip file and move the files out of the Spell Fixes directory so that they all are listed un the root of the Override directory.
But it is highly reccommended to install the optional content, since the D&D 3.5 rules are much better than in the rather hopeless official version.
TIPS AND HINTS:
This module is not suitable for newcomers to D&D 3.5. It is more difficult than the Official Campaign.
Some classes might have a harder time than others. This does not reflect the overall difficulty for that class for the rest of the series, everyone will have a hard time sooner or later.
Make sure you don't forget to search for treasures, supplies and hidden doors. Things of great help might be found amongst other unusables.
STORY AND SETTING:
The little quest is starting in a castle in the Sentian capitol of Corus. You are out of gold and need a job. Fortunately, you are needed, and you have to sneak your way outside of the city walls through a hidden tunnel.
Everything is written down in your journal when you start the module.
KNOWN ISSUES:
The bleeding script is not able to make a bleeding character stay down. The animation seems to end no matter what I do. This is, however, purely a visual bug.
There will not be coming any updates or
further modules. In case anyone care.
NWN 2 is dead and buried, it will never be a success and will forever be known for it's lack of foresight, quality and content. I curse the responsible and hope for something slightly ockward - like an egg dropping on their heads - happens in the near future.
End game. _________________________ "An eternity of suffering is nothing compared to a single lifetime of mediocrity."
As said, it is what I had the time to create. But if life of NWN 2 starts to shine a little brighter, I will finish this chapter as it was intended. It was shortened by some areas for Obsidian the mod contest. These areas contained some less dangerous combat, a few dangerous ones, and some saferest regions. If I ever complete Chapter I, it will contain 3-4 more areas, more and better conversations, and more things to do during the dungeon crawls.
I've added resting and illumiation to the list of possible problems I should look over and improve.
Thanks for the feedback. Good gaming. :) _________________________ "An eternity of suffering is nothing compared to a single lifetime of mediocrity."

Fun short dungeon crawl. I especially liked the ending area near a river and the use of cloth to patch a boat.
A few 'safe' spots to rest would have been greatly appreciated for certain classes, but playing as a fighter I didn't have too much trouble.
The dungeon was a bit overly dark IMHO, but it certainly helped the atmosphere.
Also, I just didn't see any connection to Grimm Fairy tales.
Hello Mephisto. You are right, the battles are a little difficult, especially with no resting allowed. I haven't play with a low level fighter for years, usually being a wizard, and it was fun. I'll finish it today probably. Go for something bigger and better in the future.
