Tanithiel is a chaotic good half-drow rogue/assassin with a very checkered past. Tanithiel is a romanceable companion that can follow your character between different mods using the FRW persistant companion system.
Tannithiel is a bit stand-offish at first, but her heart may warm considerably if she is treated nicely.
The mod is one area inn solely meant for the purpose of recruting Tanithiel as a persistant companion. You need to download the files for the persistant companion system and import them yourself into the mods you want her to follow in.

To display Tanithiel's hair you need to download the override version of Barrel of Monkey's extended hair mod.
This is an updated version of the persistant companion scripts that includes Ploedminka's fixes, including the one mentioned after I posted v.92 and some proofreading. Use this file instead of the one at the FRW persistant companion scripts page (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2Scripts.Detail&id=109) until thoose have been updated too
Xandurpein, Am very much looking forward to your mod being SoZ compatible as I'm not planning to play Soz without Tanithiel. Thanks again.

Hello. First of all I have to repeat that I am not an expert at scripting. Lord Niah wrote most of the base scripts that Tanithiel uses. Eloi, one of my friends at GPS has however done some tests and apparently it should be possible to modify Tanithiel so she becomes a Tanithiel.bic. Hopefully this means that importing and exporting Tanithiel could be made a lot easier, although I suspect that you may still need a hak too. I don't have a lot of time for modding currently, and I will definitly need more help form people who know the toolset and scripts better than me, but I will try to find a way to use the new features in SoZ to make using Tanithiel (and hopefully other companions like her) more easy to use.

Hi Xandurpein, I've been checking out your mod for a long time, just waiting for the right module with which to run her. Soz, with its customisable but lumpen cohorts, seems to be an ideal campaign for an interesting companion with their own (scripted) ideas. Any comments as to whether Tanithiel is SoZ compatible? Best wishes

I had trouble getting the conversations on rest so I rewrote the conversations to trigger when the PC gains a level. So when the PC gains a level the first two times he/she talks to Tanithiel a new conversation is triggered. After that you get the standard menu until a new level is attained. For us that have carried her through several campaigns it would be fun to have a second set of conversations to go through. We could just swap the new dialogues and be good to go.

I have tried it with the last patch before release of SOZ (sorry, I find it hard to keep track of patch numbers for all the games I play, but I know for a fact that I only started playing with Tanithiel after the last patch before SOZ came out). If I do not change her appearance, everything works as it should - I can recruit her and she spawns properly in all the mods I take her along in. However, any attempt to mod her appearance makes her spawn on top of my PC so I cannot click/select/converse with her. I once made a change to a some scripts in the recruitment mod that hade a JumpTo (or MoveTo) command in it (I just commented the line out) and it worked, but it seems like a fluke, because I wanted to start over with her and then this change did not seem to fix it. I don't know too much about the scripting or toolkit, so a bit lost as to what to do. Pity, because the bit that I did play with her seemed like a lot of fun and very well thought out. I would be really happy if this issue could be looked into. Also, as SOZ allows you to make your own party, I was hoping to take her along. Has anyone tried using her in SOZ yet?

What patch are you building her new appearance on (or playing on for that matter)? Did one of the patches since 1.12 change anything appearance, companion, or spawn related? _________________________ "In life, one and one don't make two. One and one make one." -The Who "Bargain"

I still seem to have probs from time to time. I find that when I modify her appearance in the toolkit (simply using the appearance wizard and nothing else) it causes some weird bug. After the modification, if I enter the recruitment mod and go through all the conversations with Danathe, she spawns directly on my PC. Literally merged with him, and no conversation starts with her. This means that I am unable to click her to initiate conversation or do anything from there. Any ideas why this is and how to fix? Has anyone else seen this? Are there any haks/overrides that have been identified to break her spawn?

DOH!! I can't believe I didn't vote!! Sorry it's a year late but here's the 10. I hate waiting for sequels so I ran her through a FRW 'campaign'. Subtlety of Thay--Tragidor--Night Howls (NH started but not finished because real life intervened). Played through each without a hitch and it was great having a continuing story through the unrelated mods. I was modifying the 'haunted house' prefab into my "personal mansion"/"mod hub" and had her successfully installed their too. _________________________ "In life, one and one don't make two. I haven't picked up SOZ yet but hopefully there won't be any issues. _________________________ "In life, one and one don't make two. One and one make one." -The Who "Bargain"

So, any plans to adopt this mod for SoZ (the first, irreplaceable player-created character being the target of romance)? Given that SoZ cohorts appear to be rather rudimentary, that could be great fun.
