Finally made some headway on this and thought I would put up a 15 minute demo. don't want votes, but feedback would be nice :)

Tsk, tsk. Why would I want to create a new character just to automatically gain a level right off the bat? I quit right there. It really is a let down when module writers do that. It's pointless.

I am new to these forums and have not voted for the module here before, but i liked this one and another too. It is a fun module to play and has many good suprises. It is almost perfect but i thought it could be longer a bit so no 10 score. I finished in maybe 8 hours as a dwarf barbarian and had a good time playing it.

Well, I've done what people have suggested to fix/add so far (thanks for the input! For the other people who've dl'd so far, comments welcome :p) with the exception of double doors which have been breeding again (I swear they are deliberately duplicating and moving) :s

For anyone interested, I've also done a bunch more areas, scripting and conversations that should put me about 1/3 of the way done on the first mod.

Thanks for the feedback; I'll get those bits changed :) Although I'm rewriting a lot of it, with the whole campaign already put together in NWN1 its just the task of putting it together in NWN2 mostly, so you can indeed expect the whole thing to be released at some point :)

It is always good to see a veteran mod maker trying his skills with NW2... and succeeding. This demo works better as a prelude than the first scene in the original version did... the city area is simple but effective, and the pace is just right. I think the layout of the mansion might be improved... the second floor could be smaller, the corridors are too long and featureless... but other than that the whole module is well done.
There are some small problems, like the black background in the dream sequence and also the lack of weapons and armor (although it was easy to get them with the merchants in the street).
But since this is just a demo that kind of thing is to be expected... I am certain it can be easily fixed.
I do hope you finish this new version... including the second chapter!

Thanks Wyrin :) Some of the stuff sounds like stuff I did already (but had a v nasty toolset crash a lil before relese; i swear this toolset hates me).
The floor is indeed meant to be black there :)
Were the 'continues' clickable options? Don't remember any of them :s
Thanks for the heads up on that stuff; really appreciate the help :) Since i'm just after some quick feedback atm, I won't update the mod on here, but will fix anything anyone finds/suggests on my version :)

Heh - I thought that this looks familiar, and I found out that I've actually asked you some questions about the NWN1 version of this mod. :)

Looking forward to playing this - the NWN version received some very nice feedback. I'll try to try the demo, too. Good luck with the building.

OK with the hak, this loaded fine. Nice set up for the mod - especially the first 'dream' sequence. Nicely scripted cutscenes. Curious to see how this pans out

Some points (i know this is an early demo so not expecting all these things fixed)
- Area1 needs a name
- In the dream, where I spanwed the floor was black, like a missing texture or something - are you using any custom content a player might not have?
- Some 'continue's in player dialoge that weren't necessary
- some NPCs could be unbumpable
- Aldo had 1 too many feats I think
- No journal entry for first quest
- Be nice to have some gear, or have a first 'quest' to tell you to kit up before going to the docks

Hi,
this just crashes for me - the game hangs at 'Unpacking module' when I select the mod to load
opening it in the toolset it tells me I need Heeds Boardable Ships hak - you should probably advertise that.
I'll try downloading the hak and see if that solves it
