Tomoachan is an adaptation of C1: The Hidden Shrine of Tomoachan, a module that was originally used for the Official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons tournament at Origins 1979, and was the first in series of modules from TSR, the Competition Series. The module has been adapted and expanded from the original. If you are a min/max, power gamer, I'd recommend trying this mod on a hard difficulty setting or with no more than a 4th level character.
This adventure is ideal for single player. 4th or 5th level male characters are very strongly recommended. Humans, half-elfs, and elves are encouraged. There is a romance with a human woman featured prominently in the plot, thus the recommendation. There are a few references that indicate the player is definitely a man, but if you dont mind overlooking this and want to romance a human woman with a halfling woman, go to town!
I would recommend this module for teen or older due to content.
The module represents a good mix of role playing, hack and slash, and tricks and traps.
It is intended for 4th-6th level characters. Dialog and plot problems will occur in multiplayer but other game mechanics should be ok. I did not have the opportunity to run a multiplayer test.
Liked the innovative Aztec-ish setting, biggest plus in my opinion. Playing with a female char was somewhat weird, especially the end. Yea yea I've been warned but I needed a mod for that char at that level. Such is the fate of short mods ;) Seemed like about 90% of the conversations were fitting for both genders. Sometimes my char got referred to as "man" and sometimes "woman"; and then there's the lil parasite in the end of course. It's always a tad annoying when mods force long-lasting ramifications on the player story-wise. Makes it harder to play a bunch of small mods in a row. Areas in general are well-designed. Lighting in the temple seemed a bit off occasionally. Too much flat ambient light I guess. Anyway, it was fun and bug-free. The first part in which you are on the run was nice because it gave me an excuse not to explore every freaking stone ... which I usually do. And the second part ... well, who doesn't like exploring old abandoned temples full of traps, treasure and monsters. Great mod.
A good adaptation of a pnp. I love seeing these, and I really like your work EN0A4.

A fun conversion of the TSR module, except the forced relationship at the beginning. Really like the look of the characters. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

It's was alright for me...played Darkwaters and my char from that was lvl 10 so I had to work ith that....yeah...lv 10 ighter with greater cleave sorta murdered everything...lol, so that probably spoiled it a bit :D lol, wasn't expecting the mod to start out sleeping with some woman and falling in love with her in less than a day...so the romance didn't really appeal to me :) On the other hand...I really enjoyed the level layout...it reminded me a bit of darkwaters 1 where you're going through multiple levels of some sort of structure :) My summary: Combat - Sorta my fault using a lvl 10 char lol Story - Well...I;m not the one for jumping right into things, I like to have some background, but it was decnt :) Bugs - No bugs at all or me except sometimes a large lag spike would come from nowhere lol Level Layout - Really nice, kept me thinking if something wasgonna come alive all of a sudden, like the room full o statues, was expecting something there :D Overall - 7/10, not entirely my taste..but was worth my 2 hours, keep up the good work :D

Very nice work. I'm not usually one for dungeon crawls, but there were enough interesting elements to keep me going. Though I would have liked to see more once I was out of the dungeon. _________________________ One feels inclined to say that the idea that man should be "happy" is not included in the plan of "creation". - Sigmund Freud
