I just wanted to say that this module is by no means complete. Its really just a demo with cutscenes and a few explorable areas. It showcases alot of my VXF files, displaying various uses of them. I wanted to get the community's thoughts about the module, possibly even helping me devise new plots for it.
The demo ends abruptly at the jail cell, after the conversation. Giving you a chance to explore abit afterwards.
I wanted to add that, since my old demo module for NWN1 never got completed, that maybe some former players would think this module will never be completed as well. Well, to be honest the real reason why I stopped working on that Nwn1 module was because I started working on a PW that stemmed from it's story. When NWN2 released I decided to cut my loses and start anew. I have announced on the bioware forums that I am gathering a team of NWN2 PW builders, to help craft a persistent world for NWN2. However, rest assured that with the continued support of this community, I will finish this particular module. I will utilize it's appeal to draw in potential PW players, and possibly DMs? Yes, it's a lot of stuff to do, but the support I derived from this community is enough to fuel my ambitions.

Aleanne for the beautiful Armor sets.
NWNVault Community for all your support.
I just wanted to give the community a heads up. For some strange reason the script function for StartConversation that is used in this module no longer works properly. It is the key command for most of my cutscenes... Until I can figure it out, I'm afraid any new updates is postponed. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
Your welcome NWN Dm.
This module is far from complete. Already the few areas that have been seen in this module have been revamped to reduce lag and increase proformance. Since the release I have been working on it, however I probably won't post any updates (aside from screenshots) of the demo until the module itself is finished. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.

As with your pre-fab areas, portions of this demo module will see use in my Greyhawk Adventures: Northern Ulek campaign series for NWN2. Thanks for your work!
Quoted " First, the ghosts in the temple seemed extraneous. There was no obvious need for them, except to give the player something to do. They did not detract form the story but they also did not add anything. You could have used this as an opportunity to educate the player about your dieties and histories, perhaps. Each ghost could provide a little information or books in the library could give some longer written histories."
Thats a very good idea! This is why I put up the demo, to help break these dam writer's blocks. Thank you so much for playing the module. You didn't have to vote, but I thank you none the less.
There were 3 ghosts in there that the player was suppose to help relieve it of unfinished business. Not sure if anyone bothered to help them or not. But if you do help all three, theres a converstaion between Veronica, and the player that occurs right when they enter the temple. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.
Wow, thank you for such an indepth review. Those are all wonderful ideas for plots, and I had similar ideas when I was creating the dialoge for the cutscenes. Thank you so much for taking the time to play through it, I know there wasn't much to do but I wanted to work out the actual story first before I went into dungeon designing.
Yes, I agree the dialoge for the bad guy was .. for lack of a better phrase in "bad taste." Its just that I'm not use to playing an evil role, so it's hard for me come up with intelligent dialect for the driving evil force. _________________________ AKA: GuardianofLore.

What you've have completed so far is excellent. The story is captivating and immersive, it drew me in as a player and left me wanting more. The area designs are extremely well done, everything has a polished look. The cutscenes are some of the best I've seen, and that is saying a lot. The angles, the character positions, everything looks really good.
As for suggestions or criticisms I have the following.
First, the ghosts in the temple seemed extraneous. There was no obvious need for them, except to give the player something to do. They did not detract form the story but they also did not add anything. You could have used this as an opportunity to educate the player about your dieties and histories, perhaps. Each ghost could provide a little information or books in the library could give some longer written histories.
The opportunity to combat some of the main villains cronies could be offered as well. I'm not sure what level you intend to start the player at. If it's first, then maybe exposing the player to a combat with the cronies would not be such a good idea. I assume they are supposed to be powerful.
I agree with Awildawn, the dialogs are a bit weak, especially the top bad guy. He sounds like the leader of some street gang. On the other hand, if that is what you were trying for, you succeeded.
These are just suggestions, if you choose to ignore them, your mod is certainly not going to suffer. I really hope you continue and complete this mod. It would be a welcome addition to the existing adventures and probably would quickly achieve Hall of Fame status. _________________________ Failure is not an option
I've just played your demo and it was a very good begining, I'd really like to see what happens next and if you'll be able to keep up with the level of polish of this begining. This being said, here are my comments.
- nice areas. You use plenty of VFX that, added to the way you use the static cameras, make your cutscenes look like big-budget Hollywood movies.
- the position of the character is well established in the begining that's a plus.
You asked about suggestions for your story :
-To me, it feels that the story will be about (1) convincing the townpeople that you are not their ennemies (maybe contributing to the defense of the city against these said ennemies), (2)Going to Rhydin hoping to find the two other guardians (well, you're sworn to protect them after all) and (3) maybe finding only one there while the second is stuck in some strange place/dimension (with your ability in VFX, I'm guessing you could create an otherwordly design) and finaly (4) finding and defeating your adversary once the three of you are reunited.
- Since the PC is one of the last Phonexia and Aurora is sorely lacking followers. Maybe it could be fun that the PC tries to convert people to believing in Aurora. Each time one NPC accepts the existence of Aurora, it could help the PC master a bit more his guadians powers and if a NPC decides he wants to convert other people to this religion, then the PC could gain a feat.
-I'm guessing there will be a quest to find a weapon or two to help you fight against the main bad guy. It could be interesting if the people who forge these weapons asked the PC to do a sidequest or fight in an arena to prove his/her worth (it may even be a philosophical debate instead of a fight depending of the people forging these weapons).
The crazy earth elementals in the prison could be more than just crazy : they could be guardians for the god of earth (I don't know if there's something like this in your homemade world). And if you save them, maybe one could follow you (he could even transform into a human being... who knows).
Well that's it, I'm out of ideas for the time being. Anyway, if I had to criticize a part of your work, it would some of the dialogs that I felt were a bit weak (mostly those of the bad guy). It's just my opinion but I'm French so what do I know !!
